Went to Pyramid just now. Some of the display units at the road show has minor red tint.
Heres what I feel. My device has moderate red tint meaning that the top half has red tint but not too bad. This can be reduced.
1. Turn on Adaptive Display. Over time this seems to correct the redness till very low or none left.
I think using *#0*# sets the display filtering to basic because suddenly the redness becomes very obvious.
Adjusting the *#<long number*# setting seems to make the screen more red or more blue which is not to my liking. I left it at default.
Adjusting the edge coolness/warmness seems to make the edges too blue or too red. I left it at default.
Now I'm wondering if I should exchange until I get a perfect display or should I leave it since its not too bad and doesnt really bother me?

Noticed when using battery monitoring app. The S8 charges at only 2A max compared to most modern type c chargers. My guess is either because type A->type c or samsing is playing it safe. Anyway the phone charges to full from single digit percentage to 100 using powerbank at around 2 hours and wall charger yesterday from 17% to 100% in 1.5 hours.
