What's ur recommendation?

I bought it many years ago, since s4 time. Bought at USD 0.99 if not mistaken.
Used it on every of my pass phones. Worth it.
Gesture and feel silky smooth are main selling points

the case version for clear coat not that really case friendly.
works well with samsung case (tested with free clear case and alcantara case), but didnt works well with spigen rugged armor (depends on how they aligned the screen protector), not suitable with ringke fusion (again similar comment as above) and certainly not suitable for ringke onyx.

works well with carved case though.

i have 3 cases right now which are not compatible. this week going to receive UAG Monarch, if this one not compatible, then i guess time to remove out the clear coat and going back to them for custom fit later on.

this morning installed the blue honeycomb from slickwraps.
the blue looks better than previous black that used to install on Pixel/S7edge



spent time to trimmed the clear coat (case version) for top and bottom side.
although not perfect but good enough. at least can last while waiting for rev2 case version clear coat from mobile outfitters.



so now all my cases fit perfectly.
previously only compatible with free samsung clear case, samsung alcantara and carved case.
now ringke fusion, ringke onyx and spigen rugged armor fit perfectly.

some feedback on cases:

1. the alcantara case have the nicest feeling when holding it. buttons tactility very good. only concern perhaps it can get dirty pretty fast. decent protection though. at least when lay down phone on screen side, the case's lips can protect the phone's screen. my favorite.



2. carved is nice but with very poor button (power button) tactility which for me make overall user experience pretty poor. same case when happened for previous Pixel Carved case but for S7edge it was pretty good. decent protection.

3. ringke fusion - solid but slippery (oily hand). pretty good protection. one thing i dont like based on last experience, it can turn yellowish across the time, easy to get scratch at back side and kinda attract lint.

4. samsung free case. slim, slippery and decent.

5. spigen rugged armour and ringke black onyx; both felt solid, enough and good protection. ringke onyx corner side will have bigger lips compared to rugged armor thus need to further trimmed the clear coat. at least for me, preferred the ringke onyx over than spigen rugged armor. main reason, brushed looks and preferred the feeling when holding it. But the ringke tend to attract a little bit more lints compared to spigen

im not sure really related or not, but previously when i restored backup from previous backup (smart switch) also have issue.
at the end i decided factory reset and installed fresh.so far so good.

in fact my first 3 days using it after collect, didnt went well. overheat, battery drain, keyboard lag sooo much. navigation button didnt responsive.

after 2-3 times factory reset (finished setup since last monday) then now all ok. but for my case, highly suspected due to combination of restore and package disabler (perhaps i had disable certain apps that caused erratic behavior).

btw, try disable scanning stuff like nearby scanning, improve accuracy scanning (wifi and bluetooth; both under location service).

worst come to worse before sending to SC, perhaps can factory reset and set it up fresh.

saw the dbrand black dragon looks sick but wanna give the phone some color
if slickwrap come out with red black tonne honeycomb, then it will be next target. haha

For case, temporary will use ringke onyx for daily usage while waiting for uag to reach. For dress will put on the alcantara case.

Buy 1st regret later. Haha
So far had used dbrand hyperblack and slickwrap honeycomb all stick on surface until I peeled if off. Just ensure proper and clean installation. But for pixel due to it wrap the surrounding body, if drop without case at corner can caused peeling

I'm just worried the service itself will consume much battery or slow down the network speed due to re-routing. So how is it? But the yearly subscription kinda...haha
