1. I dont turn on AOD so that doesn't concerned me.
2. I adjust my screen brightness whenever I like to ease my eyes from soreness or being too bright will hurt my eyes if i'm reading a book or whenever I'm indoor or in the office.
3. I disabled the AOD because I dont like to see the clock widget always on the display, I have my fitbit easy to reach out to check timing.
4. Disable some functions because I only need them when necessary like NFC, I wont be using them almost 99% of my time. Turning them on when needed wont hurt your extra time turning most of the phones functions on and off are easy to reach from scrolling the notification bar down.
AOD actually shows more than just clock. It give u notifications, date time and battery percentage without the need to wake the phone.2. Auto brightness should solve the issue when u do not need it to be so bright.
Althou all the NFC, GPS, etc are just a slide down and a click away but u need to unlock the phone and extra steps to do all these hassle so i'm leaving these on and it doesnt actually consume more battery than it was already. For example, to use samsung payi just hardpress home button and slide up to scan my finger print to pay. NFC is much more easier cause i'm using it to pay transit fare in SG which i just tap my phone to the reader without the need to even wake my phone.
