Hi all, tried so many ways to restore my whatsapp backup message but still failed so far. Would changing to new nano sim cause this restoration issue? Am thinking about rooting the phone to manually copy the whatsapp data. Any idea what else could be done other than rooting?

Tried both google backup, and manual copy backup file from old phone to restore. Both ways didn't work. Even went back to old phone 3 times to re-backup, then tried both google backup and manual copy/restore again. Nothing worked so far. It would read until certain percentage (i.e. 24% or 30%) then stuck for a while before saying "Failed to restore chat history".

Wonder if that is able to resolve data backup issues from Android to Android phone.
By the way, anyone tried? Is trial version able to restore once, or need to purchase the software to use?

Good to know the trial can restore 20 messages, maybe can try if really can work before buying.

Because WhatsApp restore failed, tried so many times and different ways, thru Google backup or local backup, nothing worked so far

I've restored successfully all the time too. This is the first time failing, not sure anything to do with SIM card change (from micro to nano sim) when moving from old phone to S8+.

How to apply the discount coupon to get the rm2770 price? Does it work for S8+ too?

Thinking of trying my luck in their shop tomorrow. Getting another one for wife.
Either buy on the spot, or on the spot order/pay thru qoo10 app and hopefully they can just pass me the unit there.

You guys are champions. Lol. I happened to exchange on the spot when buying too, first unit has some minor scratch on the side, and screen looks like having minor res tint issues. Second unit was perfect hence no more request to exchange. Guess it's up to luck, if you get perfect unit in the first place, no exchange required. More like bad luck if need to keep exchanging to get good unit. Nothing to be proud of actually.
