I think the 'quick charge' powerbank and 'fast charging' wireless charger are really old stock..

Why? I use both and it takes ages to charge..

When I use an Anker PowerCore QC 2.0 it takes literally minutes to charge full to 100% from 65%.. give it a try~~

My thought on s8 earphones. Note that I also own another RM400+ AKG earphones so some expectation will be there since some claim it cost 99$ price value similar price range.

My honest opinions (please don't shoot me XD)
Sound clarity: 7/10, some how the volume is slightly lower compare other individual sold earphones, but has OK sound clarity.
Sound bass: 4/10, bass is definitely lacking for bass lovers.
Noise isolation: 7/10, okay.
Comfortable: 8/10, can immediately notice this earphone is quite comfortable to wear with its design.
Build design & quality: 7/10, plus point on tangle free design wire up to split section but have to minus marks due to rest of wire using rubber and confirm wear and tear won't last long same with my another AKG earphones.

Summary: Considering it is a earphones supplied together with phone the overall sound quality is noticeable better. Would say this is good earphones beside the sound bass and overall volume is really lacking for my personal taste.

I agree with your assesment, my cheap JBL earphone sounds better than the bundled one.. quite disappointing really, considering the hype. But I guess it depends on individual's ears.

Just to share, tested the workaround to use dual sim card + microsd card at the same time for S7 Edge and confirm it works on S8 as well.

Since it requires a mod to the memory card and sim card, as usual do at own risk of voiding warranty, melting your sim/memory card, sim card tray get stuck and cannot open etc. Think carefully before trying.

However for me, it is useful as I can ditch my second phone now. rclxm9.gif

In my case, to remove the SIM card chip no need to use actual fire or candle or lighter or fancy heat gun, just move it near to hot oven or stove the glue would melt sufficiently already that you can pull it off with tweezers.

Good job on that. So what did you use to stick the sim chip to your micro sd? I destroyed one 128gb Samsung Evo + when I tried to insert the sim tray into my old S7E because it was buldging due to the glued on sim chip. doh.gif

Now I dont dare to try a second time  sweat.gif
*
Wow how did you destroy it? Broken? If sim card broke can get replacement from service center rm10.. if 128gb or 200gb sd card broke will cry.. haha..

I just use gam UHU last time but it fell off, now tried with elephant glue seems to work. Tight fit but it went in.

You used which brand sd card?
Got any issue to pop up the sim tray now??
I have plenty expired sim for trial error... going to get the sd card soon rclxm9.gif

This one : SanDisk Ultra 200GB Micro SD (SDSDQUAN-200G-G4A) with stock Celcom sim chip

Hard to open, but can open ith patience, i.e. will only come up a bit when prod it, then have to pull the tray out with fingernail

I think best is to do it one time and pop it in and dont open any more.. haha

The first time close also very tight, got tiny gap might impact waterproofing, so I used soft microfiber cloth to firmly push it in shut

Hi. Anyone tested their S8 / S8+ submerged in water?
*
Not really submerged but full splashed wet.. I was watching netflix while shower.. then forgot that it was wet, plugged into charger.. the phone gave the notification below and refused to charge.. lucky its smarter than me.. hahahaha
Now that it is dried, can charge as normal..

I saw somewhere (try googling it) about IP68 protection, only against normal water, not saltwater or seawater, not against coke, coffee, alcohol, high pressurized water since it may break the water seal..

So lazada also now selling S8 under Tesco for RM2999 only???

From the trend in the past buying galaxy S series, after a few months will already drop til 2499-2699.. then if got some sale or voucher may even go to 2199-2299..

So it's no surprise that samsung prices drop very fast..

I guess those of us who bought at 3299 already factored in the fact that we are the first to get it and use it, plus for the pre-order there are some freebies and extra warranty that would bring the price back to 2x99 rather than wait a few months..

But if you haven't bought it yet, it's great to have all these promo around thumbup.gif
