Those that use flip cover casing like I do, it's almost impossible to use the rear fingerprint sensor if u flip your cover to the back. The cover totally blocks the sensor. I'd say this is the single most design failure for the S8 to have fingerprint sensor at the rear.

Other than that do u guys feel the scrolling is kinda judder/ jerky? Feels my S7E scrolls smoother than this phone. Even scrolling through this lyn thread feels so.

It's not about the display setting. It's about the brightness level. The note 5 is brighter than s8 in the same level of brightness, no matter it's adaptive or cinema or basic. I can confirm that because I personally compared them side by side.

I believe s8 will be much brighter than note 5 in outdoor since the report said s8 can crank up to 1000 nits outdoor. But of course I didn't have chance to test that since cannot bring out the demo unit to outside.

I'm using mercury casing. No problem with it. According to them, it has to be soft casing then no issues. I'm waiting for them to launch their hao shock absorption casing. Will definitely change to that.

No.  Every demo unit are dimmer when compared to note 5 & s7 edge. So you said every s8 demo unit is defective? That's impossible.  If you don't believe, you can go to Samsung store and see for yourself.

As bro big[1] said, auto brightness may have different result .but when it comes to manual brightness, note 5 and s7 edge are brighter.

Seeing is believing. Those who own the S8 please do compare with your friends and family who have a S7E.

I think I'll still go naked this time as phone usually a yrly purchase don't want to sayang this and that put thick casing and protector in the end feels like using another phone. My iPhone 7 plus also yes I sold it at a lower price but I enjoyed using the phone.
