Is it normal S8 back feeling warm all the times? Just below the camera area

Uninstall Facebook and messenger would help a lot. That's the only two I wouldn't install back in any android phone. One wouldn't believe how much it takes the toll on the battery despite what was reflected in the battery status details.

I'm lying... I just did for my wife S8+. However there's no Fb nor messenger on my phone. Therefore I really noticed how much better the battery consumption was after I removed both from my S6e.

seem like i am the only one facing the camera issue ?
when u guys take pic , press screen to focus 1 place then take pic right ?

i find out all the pic i take very bright
need to press focus and adjust to brightness to very low only look normal for those photo
is it normal?

Am I the only one having issue with Instagram where the pictures taken are zoomed in not as what it were originally captured?

I have to take pictures using default camera app and then only share it to Instagram

This wasn't the case when I did the comparison test yesterday. The S8 screen was a tad less bright than the S7E. Even the salesman couldn't answer me. He just said "S8 display is upgraded, can't compare with S7". The salesguys really don't know their products in depth these days.

Other than that do u guys feel the scrolling is kinda judder/ jerky? Feels my S7E scrolls smoother than this phone. Even scrolling through this lyn thread feels so.

There's nothing wrong with the pic but the problem is let's say u use Instagram to take a pic of pasta in a plate, the end result is the pic zoomed in on the pasta eliminating the plate

I guess 1:1 is better for PC and tablet... and 4:5 vertical is better for phones?
I love cropping my photos to 16:9 landscape... but I gather that looks really bad on instagram.
Maybe i'll just do what you do and pick between 1:1 and 4:5 vertical for all my photos. That seems to work well.

Some reports saying that there's some chances where the 3rd party accessories aren't compatible to S8,  especially the wireless charge pad. Some suspected that it's due to the new battery setup in S8. I guess Samsung wants to play safe as much as possible after the previous fiasco.

It's not about the display setting. It's about the brightness level. The note 5 is brighter than s8 in the same level of brightness, no matter it's adaptive or cinema or basic. I can confirm that because I personally compared them side by side.

I believe s8 will be much brighter than note 5 in outdoor since the report said s8 can crank up to 1000 nits outdoor. But of course I didn't have chance to test that since cannot bring out the demo unit to outside.

No.  Every demo unit are dimmer when compared to note 5 & s7 edge. So you said every s8 demo unit is defective? That's impossible.  If you don't believe, you can go to Samsung store and see for yourself.

Really? Then you have different result with one of the forumers in few pages ago who said his s8 is dimmer than s7 edge. As for me, I only had note 5 to compare. Note 5 is definitely brighter. No wonder people always said note 5 drained battery a lot. I always thought it's 2K screen. Actually it's too bright.  So battery drained faster. Lol.

Hmm....based on the pic,  I actually think that their brightness are about  the same. But as you said, the s7edge indeed more reddish compared to s8.

Now come to think of it, could it be your S7 edge display is getting weaker, so that's why it's dimmer? As we can see from the pic, your S7 edge is quite reddish. While everyone is worrying about they S8 red tint issue, actually the same thing also happened to older devices. I also found out my ex-Note 5 got some reddish too, but not very obvious. It makes me wonder that the red tint is not a problem, but it's more like a characteristic of the Amoled screen. Everytime they made the screen, the reddish is definitely in there. it's just a matter of either it's very reddish or little reddish. Do you agree?

Well those who don't mind spending for sp can try Whitestone dome, the installation is pretty technical but since it's UV glue it has full coverage not just crappy stickers on the side edges.

Just installed Samsung original screen protector and using it with Spigen Neo Hybrid. Perfect fit
