I didn't see SSH feature inside my C1200 v1.0. Why you want to use SSH for a router?

Or maybe you mean the remote access to the router firmware? Can enable that by going to "System Tools" > "Administrator" > "Remote Management".

BTW the default firmware access ID and password for the C1200 supply by uniFI Biz is just admin:admin (UserID:Password).

Best regard.

admin@192.168.0.1's password:
PTY allocation request failed on channel 0
shell request failed on channel 0

Used admin:admin that u specified, this is what I get...return me to cmd prompt.

May I know why you want to access the router via SSH?

Best regard.

Ya. It really can SSH to the router. Just the default login for firmware is not the credential for the SSH. Maybe's for TP-Link engineer to do troubleshooting.

Best regard.

The usernames and passwords for SSH uses the ones set in Advanced>PPTP VPN. Default admin:admin

Authenticates for me. But no shell. Password already changed from default admin/admin.

C1200 sshd is dropbear_2016.74

Can anyone get a shell on this thing? Or execute any commands?

Huh, tried SSH-ing into mine and got the same thing. After some research, it seems like SSH is rather useless and it's only there for the TP-Link Tether app. Not used as remote shell, but a tunnel to internal server. Impossible for actual SSH use.
