was browsing through lazada and saw that the Conti UC6 priced at RM 174 per donut for 185/55R16. immediately asked whether they have stock in the Q&A section to test out and they replied yes, whatever posted in lazada means they have stock. so went to purchase 4 pieces. next day they call and say, sorry sir, we out of stock for this model, have to wait till end of the month, bla bla bla. we all know its all bulls**t. They advertised wrongly and never checked their posting since they selling the UC6 cheaper than the CC6. Needless to say, had to cancel. Now, the posting no longer exist. That is the problem here in bolehland. if in the states or europe, could have gotten my tyres

QUOTE(DM54 @ Jul 6 2018, 02:34 PM) Really can get cc6 at rm178?. Hard to believe because I survey, all put cc6 185/55/R16 above rm200. i think depends on tyre size ba but from the continetal raya promo price list that i saw last month the 185/55/16 cc6 is RM 195 nett not including the tube valveI always use conti. Countless times on conti cpc2, then now cc6. Had survey uc6 price and it expensive rm20 to rm40 ringgit compared to cc6. I feel that advertisement like a scam. cc6 also hard to get below rm200 let alone uc6. |

just changed 4pcs. uc6 205/50r16 at 265 each. came from falken 914 (quiet only if road in good condition). in terms of quietness, it is quieter, quiet even in rough road condition. haven't try high speed yet coz my car suddenly became a ball, bouncing all the way to office today, until i wanna vomit. speed was below 100. half way went into petro station to reduce air pressure to 29 but still bouncing. Does anyone know what happen?

QUOTE(leehernandez @ Aug 4 2018, 10:30 AM) yes. it was the absorber. after change then back to normal d. sorry, didn't follow up this thread closely. In terms of the experience with the UC6, i can say it is more quiet than my falken at any road conditions. below 120km/h, grip is very good. i no longer speed above that speed, so can't comment for higher speed performance. |

Kinda surprise that this thread is sleepy, but anyway my review of UC6 - this tyre came with my car - a 2nd hand Mazda which I got about a week ago. I must say, it is really really quiet, compare to all my previous tyres. Probably I am used to UHP last time, a bit of speed devil in me and also high speed cornering (when it is safe of course). I actually have a chance to test out the tyre as soon as I got my ride - I went for a short outstation trip to Ipoh.
As mentioned its a silent donut - with treadwear of 300 (if I am not mistaken), means that its decent for 40 - 50K mileage depending on driving style. Other rating is A and A - for traction and the other slipped my mind - throughout the journey, I hit 100km/h - 120 km/h, as well as short burst of 140-160 - feels fine and planted - I am quite confident flooring, if not for hoggers and sudden lane cutters - bunch of idiots. Traction is better as the wheels getting warmed up, which are great for stability and road holding accuracy. I remember cornering a stretch at 160km/h - handling is sharp and precise, pretty much increase the confidence of the driver. It's assured dry handling all the way until I reach Tapah, when dark clouds gathered and it didnt't rain but pours. The rain is quite intense from Tapah onwards to Ipoh, and even then I did test the tyre at high speed - 140km/h, as other cars are slowing down, I move right and test on a stretch of about 10km, and throughout the cruise, it is still impressive, despite heavy rain, the tyres just cut through the stream of rain water on the highway without a hint of sway, but having said this, there is slight aqua planning when I cut back to middle lane and bear in mind that the rain is really heavy, and as they say, moving from lane to lane can be tricky during heavy downpour. Overall UC6 is really not bad, and the plus point is it's a silent worker, for me at least. When i check on the sidewall - its not hard as expected in typical UHP, but it's definitely not soft either, which makes it good for comfort drive, with a mix of sportiness if in the mood. I might be tempted to try MC6, if the NVH is as good, but sticking with UC6 is not a bad idea at all This post has been edited by markblurberry: Dec 12 2018, 07:16 PM |
