For spm leavers, the result of Kijang Emas and Kijang scholarship is already out Thursday last week.
Not sure for undergraduate and postgraduate applicants though.

I am an undergrad applicant. This year they seem to be taking a long time

Yeah i think that's what they meant.. I actually called them once before the deadline and they told me the interview would be in mid of May, but there's no news about anyone going for interview right? .__. I guess they delayed it

From my experience, they select very few for the interview. They won't notify those who weren't selected for the interview.

Though you can call them up to get an update on your application status, my friends did that last time.

We can check our status through our applications tho.. Will they still entertain us if we call them to ask for a status update?

Previous year they only select 16 out of 2000 applicants for interview and further shortlisted 4 of it.. so its really competitive. You called the HR department to ask? Or bnm telelink hotlins?

So they shortlist less than 1% I called their general line and ask them to put me through to the scholarship team

They dont update that lol. My application status to this day is still 'screened'. I applied for pre u in 2014 and undergrad in 2016

And whether or not they entertain, you wont know unless you call. Plus, whats the worst they can do other than telling you that they wont tell you anything

Hi all, I'm not sure if the undergrad interviews have been conducted, from my experience (I'm the 2014 UG batch) it was in the first week of June, and the HR team very swiftly made the decision to award the scholarship in the following week.

I think that there's always 2 shortlists for interviews on the UG scholarship, i.e. around 20 ppl will be interviewed over 2 weekends, so 10 each and the UG assessment usually only lasts for a day, unlike the Pre-U that extends over 3 days.

This is just for spm leavers applicants (applying for pre u program), not sure for UG applicants.

For spm leavers applicants, the results have been announced.

In total, I am not sure how many are awarded the kijang scholarship because there might be some students who declined the offers as they had secured other sponsorship earlier before bnm announced its results.

Kijang scholars- 7
Kijang emas- 3
Total scholars for pre-u= 10

Quite a reduction in the number of scholars as compared to last year which was around 30 scholars per batch.

UG might be lesser.Last year, it was only 4 students for UG scholars. So good luck to those who get it.
