For credit card that waive annual fee if spends above certain amount per year, does that spending amount add up principal card and all supplementary cards or just consider spending by principal card only?

I tried reading terms and conditions but it's not clearly stated.

Any idea how long it takes for MBB to approve and send me CC.  I did online application for credit card, it said approved but not sure.
*
Do you mean you have received sms stating your application is approved / successful?

From my personal experience, received mbb cc via registered mail within 7 working days from the date I received sms.

Yeah, its a costly endeavor, for any credit card user for that matter. My situation is a bit different, I have other means (which doesn't involve me coming out a single sen) to cover the cost of the credit shield but the rates are absurd.

Is there any alternatives in the market? Try to gauge responses of other credit card users.
*
Think from the perspective of insurance company.

Credit shield basically will pay out if principal card holder die / pd.
There is no age profiling, health profiling, risk profiling that normally available to insurance company like in life / medical insurance.

Of course premium of credit shield will be expensive.

UOB One Card
Maybank FC Barcelona
Hong Leong Bank Wise (weekends only for higher cashback)
Public Bank Quantum Visa (RM100 and above)
Please provide suggestions other than above listed
*
Affin DUO+ - 3% cb, as long as it is contactless (ie <RM250 without keying in pin)
Bank Islam Visa Platinum-i - 3% cb, min spend RM500 per calendar month

I wanted to know if the reason of for my rejection is common among other users. And I do get more insight in this forum which after all, part of the reason for the existence of forum, right? It may also serve as a reference to others when they have similar experience.
*
In a sense, I think similar circumstance happened to me.

After I came back to Malaysia, the 1st cc I applied and received was Maybank Visa Signature.
Then I realised it does not suit my use case, so I cancelled it. I applied and get Alliance Visa Signature - which I still keep.

Then I get pointed to Maybank 2 Card, I applied and get the Platinum version. Maybank gave credit limit which was approximately 2x my monthly salary then.

Then later, I heard about Maybank Ikhwan Amex Platinum. I applied and get rejected, more or less the same reason as what you experience.
So I called Maybank Customer Service, reduced Maybank 2C credit limit to only RM20k, then re-applied Maybank Ikhwan Amex and was approved.

Bank Rakyat credit card ok?

i recently try to apply their platinum and it appear on my ccriss now . During application there are few mandatory to agree like their insurance or investment scheme …. anyone have experience using their card?
*
I have Bank Rakyat Platinum Explorer. 5% cb cap at RM1k yearly from hotels / airlines. FX rate follow Mastercard and with no admin fee.
Trans get posted and show up in mobile app pretty fast.

Mobile app UI is really meh. I remembered I tried to get access to mobile / internet banking, and ATM totally failed to give temp id / pin, and I had to call their cs to sort it out.
Good thing getting through to cs is fast (maybe because not many customers??? tongue.gif )

I don't remember having to sign up any insurance / investment scheme when I applied.
But Takaful come together with Platinum Explorer card, and since this is Islamic card, there is this commodities contract thingy for Shariah compliant.

*
Xclusive Explorer is for Bank Rakyat Xclusive customers, like those premier clients with assets with bank that kind of thing.

One more thing: CanNOT download statement from mobile app doh.gif only via email and internet banking

may i confirm this bank islam visa platinum can get 3% cash back for online and auto billing, mean if i spend Rm400 on GE insurance auto debit and rm600 on lazada top up, i can get RM30 cash back right? if yes, plan to apply this card to replace RHB shell  notworthy.gif

Since Bank Islam Visa Platinum is an Islamic card, I am not sure auto-debit for conventional insurance premium will go through. I haven't tried it.
Some Islamic cards only allow premium payment for Takaful to go through hmm.gif

Using EON Muamalat now, but not receiving cashback for my contactless spend after my statement is out on 15th Nov. Anyone experiencing the same? Or cashback not following statement cycle?
*
I received Muamalat EON Visa Infinite on 6th Nov.
Started using from 7th Nov.
On 15th Nov already received statement via email tongue.gif
Only charged 2 times contactless, total MYR316 to the card by statement date.
Did not receive any cash back on 15th Nov statement.

My plan is to charge 1 more time during the month of Nov after statement date then halt using.
Then wait for statement on 15th Dec.
That should tell me whether cash back is based on statement date or calendar date, and when Muamalat give cash back.

If Muamalat suck, then I will just fall back to Affin DUO+ cool2.gif

I just noticed Bank Muamalat sent me the wrong card! they sent me VI instead EON VI. Before that I have the feeling they are going to send the wrong card due to the PDF form they asked to fill, do not have the card option of EON VI.  I highlighted and reminded twice to the bank staff to ensure they don't send the wrong card. End up still sending the wrong card.

I received the correct card, Muamalat EON Visa Infinite via registered post.

The funny part is inside the envelop there were 2 pieces of paper:
1st is the standard letter with credit card sticked on, with instruction to activate the card.
2nd is a cover letter - This cover letter somehow thank me for applying for (the normal not EON) Muamalat Visa Infinite, and list down the benefit of the normal Muamalat Visa Infinite. rolleyes.gif

Anyway, I decide to just start test using this card and see how it goes. So far not too confident on Muamalat services cool2.gif
