Yup thats why.maybe thats the reason bank tak puas hati tak approve my installment then...13th is my statment date .if by that date still not in installment,i dont know what else to do.maybe just BT
Im confused....u said they gave u cash (as refund) and charged another time via installment.
Bank does not need to "approve/convert" your purchase manually because its all done from the credit card machine.
Since u said u already get new receipt which shows installment months then its already done and correct.
Bank does not need to again check and "approve" installment.
Get it?

Now to answer your question, it may take a while before the transaction is reverted. The same way any cc transaction need to be posted by the merchant to the bank, this applies here too.
Not to be mistaken that it is not as simple as converting the transaction to be installment. The process involved the merchant cancelling the original transaction and creating a new one as an installment. Next the merchant need to post these 2 transactions and if I am not mistaken merchant have up to 180 days to do so. And your transaction will remain status quo until the merchant have done so.
HSBC captures these information electronically when they are posted. Please understand the process of how these transactions work and not blatantly throwing profanities. Anyone would be upset but doing that here would not solve your problems.
He said merchant refunded cash to him, and charge another time with installment.
So the installment should appear in next statement while the previous charges will still be there as it was never "cancelled" since they refunded cash to him.
Tbh its kinda hard to advise him coz he dont seem to understand how it works.
