In a sense, I think similar circumstance happened to me.

After I came back to Malaysia, the 1st cc I applied and received was Maybank Visa Signature.
Then I realised it does not suit my use case, so I cancelled it. I applied and get Alliance Visa Signature - which I still keep.

Then I get pointed to Maybank 2 Card, I applied and get the Platinum version. Maybank gave credit limit which was approximately 2x my monthly salary then.

Then later, I heard about Maybank Ikhwan Amex Platinum. I applied and get rejected, more or less the same reason as what you experience.
So I called Maybank Customer Service, reduced Maybank 2C credit limit to only RM20k, then re-applied Maybank Ikhwan Amex and was approved.

Your very similar experience as mine except the sequence is sort of reversed. I already emailed Maybank as suggested by the customer service and hopefully I can get it resolved soon. Worse come to wrost, I will just followClarenceT's suggestion.

Should I reply to the banks to update my e-Invoicing details? I got another reminder from CIMB.

What will happen to me if I don't update it? unsure.gif

LHDN wants to know how much you get from rebates and you pay for fee/interest etc.
Anyway, with I/C number, the bank should be able to get TIN, no need to get it from customers.
Not limited to credit cards but also other products and services.

i updated it yesterday after gotten another reminder from cimb

the form filling is more to "getting consent", rather than "getting info"

your default details already pre-filled. you just need to input email and TIN.

after input your TIN, it's still pending "verification" stage, which also means it still need to cross-ref with LHDN or something.

read the news and the SST lor ... it's been all over the news since yesterday

someone gotta decipher what affected.

roughly from the news.... "Service tax will be imposed at a rate of eight per cent on fee- and commission-based financial services, but several key exemptions will remain in place.."

“Basic banking services for the rakyat, including current and savings account-related charges, will remain exempted from service tax for both conventional and Islamic banking services,”

The public to look out for communications from their respective banks that will be published via the banks' official channels for further details.

----
// As part of the SST expansion on financial services, the implementation will be carried out in phases.

For Phase 1, effective 1 July 2025, the following CIMB services and its corresponding fee/charges which previously were
not subject to SST will now be subject to the 8% Service Tax:-

Debt Markets – Arranger/Facility Agent Services
a) Arranger/Facility Agent Service Fee
b) Agency Fee
c) Administrative Charges

Other financial services provided by CIMB will be subject to the 8% Service Tax in subsequent phase(s), unless specifically
exempted. //

It is a cost to bank.
So they need to prepare e-invoicing (including self-billed, consolidated) to LHDN.

SST is a separate issue, not related to LHDN but Kastam.
