For stolen cards, it's usually blocked, replaced with new number. Easier to just cancel

After a long procrastination, I called OCBC to cancel my useless OCBC GE which I have stopped using since the cash back was removed. Nothing to miss about this card at all except for the high CL. That said, useless cards are meant to be cancelled.

Hi, may i know whether the credit card application would be subjected to my DSR/CCRIS records?
This is because I'm worried that due to my very high DSR I'll not be able to be successful in my cc application. I have two other credit cards, but I have been paying my credit cards bills and all other relevant loans in full. I just wish to get another card to fit my requirements so that I can maximise my savings. Appreciate the feedback..

How do they determine how much credit you're allowed when applying for new credit cards?

Hi, is there any maximum cc limit to hold? Because I read some cardholder's comments failed to apply some cards due to holding many cc even though annual income more than RM36k.

No maximum amount of cards can be held if annual income is more than 36k. It's up to the banks to approve or not, many factors that are affecting. One of the famous reasons is PTPTN loan.

Aeon installment is a debt on it's own. For installments, you can't pay using CC. Unless you were saying the installment was tied to your Aeon card. Then you can opt for 0% Balance Transfer.

Kindly advise the way to pay PTPTN by credit card I wonder if my Essential will give cash back on that. Not sure if it is the right place to ask here.

Hi. I have owned credit cards for a few years but never actually understood how the interest is calculated.
From Maybank website, they say that they charge it based on the 12 previous month repayment habit. Does it mean on the 13th month's balance itself, they start to charge the monthly interest?

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 24 2017, 05:41 PM) No late payment, no short payment then no interest. What If for 12 months, we just pay minimum payment. So the interest is calculated at the end of 13th month correct?
