I want to change my conventional credit card to islamic credit card within same bank. It just my own preferences. Question is I still have few installments on the conventional card and monthly insurance deduction. Do I need to settle the installment first before switching?

Contact the bank to see if the installment can be transferred to the new card. Contact your insurance agent for the insurance part.

QUOTE(watabakiu @ Aug 25 2020, 07:04 PM) how is conventional CC different from islamic. heard islamic cannot charge interest? Bank interest is haram in Islamic Banking. Charge you a fee first, if you pay the statement balance by the due date, you get full rebate. Eg Maybank Islamic Platinum Credit card Monthly management fee is RM15000 If you pay your statement balance in full by the due date, you will earn a rebate of RM15000. Otherwise your rebate is less than RM15000. This post has been edited by ClarenceT: Aug 25 2020, 07:21 PM

Some banks may ask for more documents, I will politely ask the officer to withdraw the "application".
