Can I know that if simply cancel credit card from a particular bank within short period (after getting the promotion campaign), will it be adversely affect our
1) CCRIS or CTOS status ?
2) future application of any loan from that bank ?

Hello guys, I have a question regarding the SMS alert. I got a HSBC credit card, and I emailed them to adjust my SMS alert to RM1 (thanks to advice from Gen-X). However, I got the following reply from them. Is this acceptable? Any advice will be appreciated:

General question, at this point in time, if I use Paypal for overseas transaction, is it better to use paypal's rates or my CC bank's rates? I only have CIMB CC. Recalled they have some hidden charges based on threads a few years back. Is that still true right now?

Car loan: almost finish, left 2K
ASBF: havent finalise the application yet.

Salary (gross): RM2150, recent increase to RM2300

Is there any other reason why they rejected my application?

My big paycheck will come late, and I am currently in the midst of applying mortgage loan therefore need to consolidate some of my debt using my CC and do not wish to affect my credit rating score by calling bank make it to monthly installment / pay minimum payment / etc.
Assuming I hold only one credit card with credit limit 23k, and if I have outstanding 10k amount in credit card spent this month but wish to pay in installment,

Can I use BigPay method to slowly clear the outstanding and keep my rating score good?

1. Once received the cc statement for 10k outstanding spent previous cycle, use the same credit card deposit 10k to BigPay account
Now credit card total outstanding 20k and out of the 10k is due in next cycle

2. Withdraw 10k from BigPay thru ATM machine

3. Pay credit card 12k, 10k from BigPay and 2k from cash/salary

With this I assume the current cycle credit card has been settled and should not affect my credit rating score?

Hi all... Just new to credit card world... The credit card will be delivered to my house in 1 week.

Once I receive the new card, I can straight away transfer money from the credit card to my BigPay card and withdraw it as cash? Or need to apply for any plan first (such as cash installment plan)before the transferring money feature available on the credit card?

I just bought a massage chair with 12-months instalment, but on my credit card statement, it shows that I've been charged the full amount, and now my outstanding balance it's the price of the massage chair instead of the monthly instalment amount.

Is this normal?
