Permission should come first ... not open thread & seek permission. Made it clear recently that opening threads without permission with be dealt with swiftly.
Well ... application for Affin Duo card thread is open, please send application to bro M&M or myself. TQ

Sorry bro Human Nature, appreciate your contribution but you already have 2 threads under your belt. I can't allow you to own another one unless the old ones are given to a new TS.
*
Yeah bro, no worries. That's why I have been asking for volunteers instead of applying as one biggrin.gif Hope the new thread is up and running soon.

Hi all, just wondering which banks accept credit card application by pledging a certain amount for FD. I know AmBank does but just wondering if there are any others that do too. I am not working atm but do have some FD as I have just come back from working overseas.
*
PBB, Maybank, CIMB... and possible more. just ask the banks directly.

Where did you apply online? Just submit the eform? It is not enough, you are required to submit documents to the branch.

But the eform do not have clear instructions. Maybe after submitted the eform, have to wait the call from Affin. Then bring the form to nearest branch.

QUOTE(adamhzm90 @ Aug 30 2020, 11:20 PM)
Yes noticed that too.. Will go to branch next week
*
You can email the documents too. Mentioned at previous 1-2 pages. But do at your own risk..

Ah, but didn't receive any email (even auto reply), maybe I should call support for it.

OKay, i need to correct myself. After sending the eform, there is no acknowledgement email.

I only get acknowledgement email after submitting the documents to:

Received a whatsapp from an officer from my local affin bank branch:
QUOTE
referring to your recent application for Affin DUO cards - can i meet you this evening around 4 p.m at your office to sign the application form.

Kindly provide the following document as well:

1. Copy of IC
2. Copy of latest payslip (1 month only)
3. Epf statement.

When I said I am working from home, he said can come to my house. Wow!

I will go and meet him at the branch instead. So end up still need to go to branch. So I believe the e-form application will redirect to the nearest branch.

I just received a call too and coincidentally I'm in KL this week (I'm usually working from home in Seremban), so she will drop by at my office to meet me. biggrin.gif
I also told her I wanna apply Visa Signature and she said OK.

My card delivery is in Seremban but I think she is in KL, not sure but since she said can come and meet me, why not. rclxms.gif

Okay, so it is a genuine text. I was skeptical so decided to go to the branch instead. I am paranoid, don't mind me biggrin.gif

Hmm, now I am thinking whether I should add VS too.... don't poison people tongue.gif tongue.gif

Collecting cards are fun.
Just that it's may not be FOC since it'll be RM 25 SST per card.  biggrin.gif

I didn’t. Forget to ask about any rebate for SST too. No parking so I parked right in front of the bank and he came down to meet me for a short while.

Is it something odd? I also got free umbrella and Starbucks card when I applied for AmBank cards in two occasions. laugh.gif
Mostly utilise, I only apply cards which are useful for me. I have both with AF and free AF for life but so far haven't paid any AF.

Anyway, the Affin person came to my office area to take my biometric verification for EPF statement. Result will know in a week time and another officer from CC department will call me. No SST rebate for duo cards but VS has RM 30? Not sure if I heard it correctly. I was rushing for my appointment so only updated about it now. No umbrella for me, maybe because I didn't go to the branch? laugh.gif Regardless, I'm happy with the service.

Keep us posted when you get the call. I will do the same too.

I wanted to buy a bike for cash but i stumble upon an option to use credit card installment option.

Is it a good option to pay by CC installment? I am a recent graduate with no credit score history btw

If no extra charge added, then why not.
