Hi guys,

I have run this morning for my HDD WD 500GB chkdsk command. However it's only show 17% till now.

What was expected time for this progress?

I had an issue during wake up screen after hibernate mode. Then my 2nd drive is slowly to access and windows boot.

The data has already cleanup then I do command chkdsk this morning. Just want to know the estimation time for my cases if somebody did before.

I m praying hard for my HDD will be healthy again.

I find the solution regarding the HDD slower access, tweaking in power but does not help then someone else suggest to use command chkdsk /r, luckily he got the HDD back. But he not mention how longs his HDD fix it in.

I will wait more couple hours.. if still no progress then I will let it off. sad.gif

Thanks for yr advice.

What was the reason for running chkdsk? Did your pc experience a power outage while it was running?

Check the disk SMART monitoring data by using free utilities like crystaldiskinfo or WD's windlg utility. Google it if you don't know how.

Once the HDD got SMART Failed, just no need to waste time on it. Quickly backup the data as it still can, and buy a new HDD to replace it.
