My sister updated her N73 firmware using NSU, however along the way somehow something went wrong and now her N73 just become a very expensive paper weight. It wont even power on.

Do any of u guys encounter this experience of having a bricked phone?

If so, do I need to send this phone back to Nokia Service Centre to reset the firmware or can any other phone shop do it for me?

If your set are Zitron / Avaxx, send to any nokia service center. Should be done in 1 Hours for flashing... (Office hours) even no more warranty..

If ap set & have warranty, send to distributor back or if no more warranty, ask 1 of our forumer here in garage sales & do on the spot, dont send to unknown shop cause maybe their will replace your spare part....

It is an AP set and the warranty expired quite some time ago. Will Nokia Service Centre accept my phone? (for a fee of course)

normally doing the firmware you can wait in the shop. no need to leave your phone there and i dont think they'll dare to change your spare part in front of you

this thread for discussing only... you'll have to purchase an unlock code for your phone to get it unlock, hmm i guess unlocking the sidekick phones frm t-mobile would be very very expensive.

juz done flashing my K800i. however starting the phone shows "configuration error. please contact ur network or service provider." wat's wrong with it?

is that shown when the phone just started up? can you still call normally?

usually that message shown when you access the internet/gprs but got the wrong settings.

the FS needs to be customised with custpack or using built-in customization after flashing.

My k618i cannot be on, when the power button is pressed, red flight LED (top part) flashes

but no display in the screen. Do I need a reflash or any other advice.

battery flat

or corrupted firmware, if you can get other battery and pop it in, remove ms, then that will give you the answer.

or failing hardware. rare but if problem persist after firmware flashing, then failed hardware it is.

I just flash my new firmware is R8 MAIN CHINA, R8 FS APAC
but after that i wan to patching with setoolite... It stuck at there...
cant even readed my GDFS.... It only indentify my fone...
So whats the problem
