1. Neither Liverpool nor City are interested in him. The only team interested in him this summer was PSG who has since dropped their interest. Auba costs way too much in transfer fee and wages for a 28 year old.

2. Klopp has said in past interviews that he prefers not to work with players he already worked with as he prefers to improve new players. That's part of his fun as a manager/coach I guess.

3. Auba and Klopp didn't get along very well during their time at Dortmund if I'm not mistaken.
