For P2P sharing internet speed matters a lot, further most of the VPN's slow down the internet speed. I have been using FastestVPN for the same purpose luckily this VPN has no such issues it works very well and its speed is better than other VPN's. I would recommend you to give it a try as they have also 7 days money back policy, so if you will have a problem you can refund your money.

Not the kinds of VPNs discussed here but I connect to my L2TP/IPSEC VPN at my house to access, for example, the CCTV DVR. Instead of port forwarding since we all know how secure DVRs are.

Their are many VPNs out there and it's not easy to compare them, but you can try this USA VPN Platform https://www.usavpn.com to find out which VPN is a perfect fit for you. The VPNs which are listed on this page which I have mentioned, also are useful for p2p.

I recently started to use BolehVPN. Cheap and currently testing them for about a week. So far I satisfied with the performance. Well, different people have different opinion. I would suggest TS to read few reviews from users and at reddit as well before opting a suitable VPN for your need.

Yah, agree to try and test it first before confirm.

But bolehvpn is not cheap, at least the price listed on official website is not cheap compare to other vpn.

Bolehvpn, 1 year, rm260
Nordvpn, 2 years, rm240

Not sure about vpngate.

Own build vpn server is good if u hardly use vpn. For long term usage, commercial vpn is much more cheaper and have thousands of servers for various purpose. We need various locations vpn for different purposes, such as P2P, home country ip, Netflix, change ip to enjoy cheaper products, and many others. Unless u are really good at networking, bypass firewall can be difficult with own build vpn. Commercial vpn also have many protocols for u to bypass firewall.

For those who use Express VPN USA server on their unifi/maxis fibre. What's the usual ping like? I'm using digi infinite. While the speed with vpn is generally acceptable at around 10mbs, ping is very high at 250ms.

If the ping with maxis/unifi is less than 100 with express vpn USA server. I am thinking of changing to maxis/unifi fibre.

It is impossible for Asia to USA latency lower then 150ms,at least in current technology cannot do that.

Yah, it cannot be done on tp-link router.

Get a router support openvpn client for best result.

Suggest to get a new router, not to replace, but connect it to your existing router. If no need vpn, connect to old modem wireless, if need vpn, connect to new router wireless.

Pm me if u want to know more.
