Hi all,
Need ur suggestion on which digital camera to get under 600RM. I know nothing abt cameras. Anyway pls help me with what to consider in my budget.

Do u even check threads b4 asking?

U also must define ur purpose and how serious u are about photography.

For anything above normal seriousness, Canon A530 is the best choice. only go up (A540, A550, A560) if u can't get the A530.

Even if ur not serious, A530 is still the BEST!! Wakakaka!! GO Canon compacts!!

But how do Panasonic Lumix cameras compare to others. My friend recently bought Pana DMC LS2..
How is that camera??Is it gud??
I would prefer SONY and Panasonic more than others..
As i said, i know nothing abt cameras, just want to buy one for occasional use..
Which one wud be better??

I really have no idea. Never touched a Lumix b4.

My experience with SONY is stay away from them. they make unsatisfactory Cameras.

I recommend Canon bcos they have been making Cameras forever and They are the TOP, together with Nikon. So i guess they know what they are doing. Also because i own a Canon A530, i know exactly how it works (and i can recommend it without fear).

BUT, for occasional use, non serious stuff, buy ANY camera from a reputable brand and u'll be happy. Probably won't notice any difference. Buy what u like =)

anyone camera under RM600 that use Lithium ion instead of AA batteries?
