Better take him/her to a vet one time... The dirty drain water could have caused an infection.

It won't be expensive... Tell the vet you rescued the cat too...

buy a terramycin eye ointment at pharmacy, and clean all of those taik mata using warm water and paper tower then apply about 1cm terramycin to both eye and massage gently after that remove excess terramycin using clean papertowel, my kitten have this problem too before and i use terramycin and it works!, note do not apply eye mo on cat eye it may wossen condition, and make sure you apply terramycin 3 times a day

Use Saline Eye Drip to clean the eyes. Then only you use the antibiotic ointment.

If you have financial trouble, the vet will inderstand that you're just trying to help the poor creature...
Most vets do their fair share of charity too... They rescue and arrange adoption for many abandoned animals (many of whom are left outside their clinic).

If the "rescuer" really needs help with payment, telling the vet helps them understand that you just want to help the animal "now" to save his/her life. Hopefully the said persons are genuine and don't tell every vet this to get a discount.

We do need more people to help animals in need. Even if they are not interested in taking care of animals...
So it is good not to burden them... It is good enough that by rescuing, they are doing what they can. smile.gif
