You can try ACE Hardware Store in ICP Shopping Center in Mutiara Damansara. I think it has ABUS thick cable lock.

I bought my thick bicycle cable lock from Uptown bicycke shop many years ago. RAV X cable lock, 72", 8mm. I think I paid RM120 in 2011.

DIY helmet security cable made from 80lb fishing leader wire (49-strand uncoated stainless steel wire, made in Japan), locked with helmet lock on handlebar.

It is not 100% thief- proof. Kovix cable and disc lock cost more than the Komine jacket. Hahaha

To add more security on my jacket and helmet, I will stitch some patches on my jacket and sew my name on the fibre part of my helmet.

Looking for a budget compact full face helmet.

I already have a Scorpion ADX-1 flip up helmet and a cheap open face Dot helmet.

Now I want a compact full face helmet for 10km travel. Budget below RM500. I know most compact and light weigh helmets are from expensive brands.

Your inputs are much appreciated. Thsnks.

just for 10km travel? i assume daily?

personally, dont waste ur money. just use the ADX-1. it should be airy enough and being a flipup, convenient enough.

Basically I intend to use it to wet market which is about 5km from my home. I intend to cable lock my full face helmet. That's why I want cheaper helmet cos if stolen, no heart pain.

My Scorpion helmet which is heavy and bulky. I bought it for my future use on touring. Now I am using an open face helmet for practising around my taman.

I just booked a Suzuki V-Strom 650XT. I am on tip toe even the bike is fitted with lowering kit. Any boots with thick soles that you guys can recommend? Can Caterpillar boots be used as motorcycle boots? Most Caterpillar boots have thick soles.

Or I can get a lower seat which can reduce by 20mm. The sale person told me that he sold one before around RM800. Or I can HAS CUSHION to cut the seat.

For me, I made a loop from a braided stainless steel fishing line and tied the end to the metal bracket behind the pad of my RM80 X-Spot open face helmet and locked it on the handlebar helmet lock.

For my RM1,300 Scorpion ADX-1 helmet, I hand carry or cable lock under CCTV.

There are no 100% prevention. They can carry your whole bike onto their truck.

Happy riding.

I removed the beak visor to have a aerodynamic touring helmet. I have no issues with high speed.

Remember to lock the side pins properly. I lost one side of the triangle piece. I bought the spare parts from Hodaka Motoworld to replace the missing piece.
