Dominar will be a hit because of the price. RM 14 K for a 373CC bike is quite good. But whats the price before discount. If its 18K, then tough.

QUOTE(skyblu3 @ Apr 4 2019, 01:39 PM) The discipline riders like me at times get harassed by reckless riders. Just dont bother about them. Ride at your own pace ( not road hog speed lah ). Its your own safety, heck with the others. The max speed I do even I lane filter during traffic jam is max 50kmh++. There are times where kapchai riders horn horn at me... Ride close to me as if wanna knock me of the road. If I have the space ton let them go first, I'll do that. If not.. What else can I do ? I'm not going to lane filter at high speed. Then when I stop at red lights... Bikes and cars will horn me asking me to move on red. Idiots. When I ride on a proper lane following cars.... Some cars will tail gate me, not happy because I'm taking up the space on that lane. |

QUOTE(Johannlo @ May 8 2020, 06:45 PM) Thanks. Regarding the tyre puncture problem, does these tyre weld product work? Air pumps would be a little bulky to carry along though. I have used these before. It wont work if the hole is large like a nail of screw. Best is still those "worms" or tyre plugs. Check out electric pumps. they are small. If you are a frequent tourer I am sure you have boxes. So storage is no issue.https://shopee.com.my/product/96513470/2241577553?smtt=0.0.9 |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jan 26 2022, 01:51 AM) Vulcan S was launched long after the valve issue was sorted...so only affects the er6 and versys of certain years...forgot which years edi... hades76 can confirm which years affected and how to check if recall done or not? Versys and ER6 valce recall was done in 2014. After that no more issues on the valve.Anyway, if zero experience id recommend the er6..versys may be a lil too tall and the vulcan may be a lil too low...the er6 has a more neutral height and riding position...plus most schools use er6 for lessons n testing so can learn n get used to the bike at the same time. Still, end of the day depends on what ur aim is...each of those bikes has very different specialties. So u should pick a bike that suits ur needs n something u like. |

QUOTE(Voopoo @ Jan 26 2022, 12:12 PM) how to determine when the tyre is best to change? for cars its pretty easy to make a call but when it comes to motorcycles i dont have a clue. 10k - 20 k mileage is quite a big range to follow Sport touring tyres usually has dual compound ( middle hard, side soft ). These are like BT32, Roadtec 01 or PR5. These can usually last around 15 - 20K. For hardcore touring tyres are like Anarkee or BT A41 ( hard compound all round ). These can go beyond 20K but grip for cornering and wet is not that great. |

QUOTE(lsm1991 @ Jan 26 2022, 12:43 PM) got it! vulcan was only part of the consideration cause i thought u can probably get a much bette condition vulcan cause these things seem to clock very little milage and typically look very well kept. I also read its a cruiser thats easy to handle and aside from the wheelbase limitations, can actually turn You cant tell from riding it and so on as its an internal part. All you can do is check with Kawasaki on this as it was done at their Glenmarie location. Give the chasis number and they can check. how does one tell if this was rectified? if if it was not how would i go about doing so? btw aside from your usual wear, is there a major difference between the pre and post 2012 er6? (i think earlier ones had the signals integrated into the fairing, later ones sticking out?) For the ER6, I am not very familiar with their evolution. Its mostly cosmetics from what I know. |

QUOTE(silvaco22 @ Oct 16 2022, 04:52 PM) thanks for the info! wow i didn't know that theres people daily commute from penang to ipoh or vice versa. do you normally bring spare fuel tank container for emergency or u normally planned your route accordingly? If you can, get a tyre repair kit as well. Never know. The rest is the usual stuff. Plan your route carefully as fuel can be an issue. |

QUOTE(Voopoo @ Dec 16 2022, 12:35 PM) what insurance did you purchase? those bawah pokok small lil shops before the border is not enough right? For insurance you have these options. i wanna give it a try crossing border but sked of punctured tyre, theft etc.. any advise? In Malaysia we are using Allianz for our annual insurance with Bike Warrior. With Bike Wariror it gives you free towing up to 450KM. Then for Thailand, we purchase from Allianz something called Extension 101. There is a small fee to pay and it depends on how many days you traveling in TH. For our upcoming Phuket trip its like RM 15.90 for seven days coverage. This means Bike Warrior coverage now covers Thailand as well. To bring your bike into Thailand, you need to buy Thai insurance. The minimum is 3rd party insurance. You can also buy comprehensive. Cost for this cant remember. These ones we buy from shops in Changlun. Yes some are bawah pokok. LOL... Tyre puncture, you need to be able to repair yourself. Get a tyre puncture kit and such. Theft, very rare I hear bikes go missing in TH. |
