Doesn't say anything, but I'm surprised to find that it's a Malaysian brand based in Semenyih.casual bike talk..

QUOTE(alexei @ Apr 8 2026, 10:24 AM) It does say it's manufactured for Australia, for the chain lube at least. Chain cleaner both I have finished and thrown away.Anyway, sourcing chain cleaner from China instead. Half the price for 750ml of chain cleaner which is basically the same Hydrocarbon content, that'll do for my occasional chain cleaning. Anything heavy duty still nothing beats diesel. alexei liked this post

I have a rusted fuel tank, with a copper drain pipe corroded and leaking at the moment, I'm using a clear hose inserted into the copper pipe as a 'bypass' but, I'm hoping to get another copper tube and solder it in place of the existing pipe followed by internal degreasing and general cleaning, then adding rust converter then fuel tank coating... a new tank itself is 300+ I'm really doing this as an attempt, and filling some time here and there JustForFun liked this post

QUOTE(JustForFun @ Apr 7 2026, 10:51 PM) Quick review on a couple products Toyo-G products: i used the brake & parts cleaner before... agree it dries off well but i find that it dries off waaaaayyy too fast n doesnt really have much time to soak into the grime before drying out.2. Parts Cleaner - I use this as chain cleaner mainly. It's quite effective at cleaning off grime and dries off well too, but the biggest problem is it finishes fast. |

Probably to avoid damaging the O-Ring. All these variants of hydrocarbons will damage the O-Ring eventually, if left long enough. They're just hoping by reducing the exposure time and strength, the O-Ring will outlast the chain and sprocket before expanding. You can spray a lot of it and the 700ml version has enough pressure to push off grime, it just isn't a very cost effective solution if you do that cause you'll finish a bottle after 3-4 times of cleaning chain depending on how clean you want it to be, but I also don't know of a better way for a hassle-free cleaning where you want the solution to not make a mess of the place and it's difficult to get access to water (condo). Anyway, I have learned that over-cleaning the chain will cause it to rust faster, seems like being lazy about it is actually the better way to go. These days I just coat my chain lightly with the parts cleaner, wipe it after a couple of minutes before lubing, seems to work very well. |

I'm going to put forward an unpopular opinion here.
If I were to religiously clean and lube the chain, I might get 40k out of a X ring chain. Say I dont give a fark and just lube it once a while and get it cleaned once every few months. Say the chain lasts 30k. Is a 150rm chain worth actually to spend the time and money (on products) to keep it well maintained than to just replace the chain at shorter durations? at 30K ++ Km a year, i'm expecting to change the chain once a year anyway. Yes, I do clean the chain (when i send the bike for a detail once every 2 months), my regular self wash, I dont bother to wash it, just spray it down and re-lube it once everyweek or so if it rains. Been getting 30Kish on the chain doing so. This post has been edited by jaycee1: Apr 9 2026, 11:13 AM |

Nothing wrong with that, in fact on the Ninja 400 manual, it says to clean the chain if it is 'especially dirty'. The main care is lubrication after rain or when it appears dry.If I were to religiously clean and lube the chain, I might get 40k out of a X ring chain. Been getting 30Kish on the chain doing so. I don't send the bike for detailing so I kinda have to do the chain cleaning myself. I also find the chain cleaner useful as they could double as parts cleaner, I recently used it to clean my relay terminal that had corrosion on it. |
