both have their pros and cons
but is good for those who buy during roadshow can have 50% discount for gear vr and 360 (if they interested as well)

as for telco coverage, nothing is best
even Maxis claim it is the best telco in Malaysia, but in some area in Klang Valley it also low signal (1 4G bar signal or switch to H/H+)
for Digi, totally no comment as I force my parents all switch to Maxis already, but I saw my friends who also stay in Klang Valley no complaint about Digi

No worry. Samsung would never do such thing when it comes to spec. They have the money and advantages (such as holding the right of being the first one to release SD 835 phone). No way they would be cheapskate  on this matter.

The only problem they are lack of is the software upgrade. Although it's better now compared to the past, it still cannot keep up with other brands. Hopefully Samsung will improve in this area.

Yes. But it depends on the staff. Some staff won't check too much. IINM, Uncle Benny did have similar experience where he brought his rooted device to SC and claimed his warranty successfully because the staff didn't even bother to check the phone software status.
