Ok guys. Enough for the argument. The best way to verify whether it's Samsung's fault or the public media's fault, is to dig out the Pre-order information from Samsung Mobile facebook page.

I went through their facebook and traced back the previous posts, and found the pre-order package video. So ya. Samsung only mentioned it's USB charging cable, not USB Type-C cable.

Conclusion: Public media's fault.

I repeat. Samsung didn't promise to give free USB Type C cable.

There's 2 possibilities.

1. As you said may be you were really in high or drunk or too exicted and mislooked the info.

2. May be Samsung did mention the free USB Type C cable in the first place. But somehow they removed it and put out a brand new advertisment before the pre-order start. Afterall, Samsung has rights to change any term and condition before last minute. So unless we have someone in here who happened to took a screenshot of the "crime scene", if not, then I guess you guys will have to accept it.

It's because you still not used to the on screen navigation bar la. It's like that one when you already used the old Samsung device with home button too long. Use few more days, you will get used to it soon.

Good for you guys who able to change the phone until satisfied. but at the same time I also wonder what will happen to those opened phones? Will they take it back into the box and resale?

Somehow I think the "red tint exhange" is a privillege to the pre-order users. The more they exchanged today, the more extra units left out that cannot be sold for a short period, at least. So I don't think they will be so generous tomorrow on sales day, especially the roadshow.

No proof to support that theory. Just my wild guess, which i think it's possible................

I agreed that customers should be satisfied before they leave. But the million dollar question in here is....does every samsung store offer the same deal to the customers? I am afraid that only a few store would do that while some others would not allow to change.

Sorry if you think I am worry too much. I am planning to buy the phone from Samsung store. So I want to ensure if we the walk in customers will also have the same privillege to ask for exchange due to red tint issue....

Most of SME sets were manufactured in Vietnam. it's been like that since years ago. Dunno why you feel sad.

I don't think it's soft after comparing it to my Note 5 the other day when I "test drive" S8. It's quite loud actually. At least louder than S7, IIANM.

Finally bought one S8+ today, from Samsung store.

No red tint issue. And yes, The edge got some blueish and greenish tint, but when I pusing the phone around, it will disappear. So ya. Confirmed it's a reflection.

Surprisingly, they accepted trade in of my 1 & 1/2 yrs old Note 5 by offering RM1000, which is higher than the price tag stated on their trade in website. I am lazy to find another buyer in such a short period. So the trade in offer is good enough for me. Inb4 if someone say it's my loss, well, frankly speaking, I don't really care.

Everything finished setup. First impression. Smooth and fast. It does have some small hiccups here and there, but it's hard to notice. I also had that kind of issue in my Note 5. So not a big deal. First time using edge screen, I feel so weird. Need some time to get used to it. LOL

Tomorrow will buy the official Samsung casing. And start my S8+ journey.

Plaza lowyat. Not sure why they accepted it in higher value, may be I am so lengzai? LOL. Actually I think it depends on their final decision. Not necessary have to follow the figures on their website. Mine is no scratch, no dent, perfect condition. Perhaps that's the reason why they are wiiling to give higher value?

Definitely wrong! Today I went to lowyat store, and thought that there wouldn't be people queueing up since everyone would rather go to the roadshow. Mana tau! I was wrong! When I stepped in, 5-6 guys openning their boxes in one corner, 7-8 guys queueing in front of the cashier waiting for making payment, 3-4 guys standing in front of casing section looking for their favourite color, A BUNCH of people molesting the demo! Got locals, got angmohs, got foreigners! All clash in like Sardin fish!
