BFG Tech 8600GTS <-- not GT model I guess ocworkbench had a typo.. Source: news.mydrivers.com "News sources says that there is a BIOS problem in the 8600GT but it will be resolved before it goes to retail. A lot of partners have already got hold of the products. They will hold on to it and go on sale on the 17 April." http://forums.ocworkbench.com/bbs/showthre...0threadid=60927This post has been edited by ghost321: Mar 20 2007, 11:38 AM

QUOTE(jcliew @ Mar 19 2007, 11:36 PM) This one should be 8600GTS dude! Take a closer look, there is an external PCI-E power connector and this feature only available on 8600GTS model Furthermore the label on d fan sink also labeled 8600GTS You are correct! I guess I just copy and paste bluntly

WTF!!! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « "Not much more to say: buggy, needs more time, and it will most likely delay the April 17 launch. If the firm does launch it on April 17, it will be a soft launch, not the usual hard variety." http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=38500 Added on March 27, 2007, 6:31 pmArrggghh! I'm going nuts!! Maybe I go buy 7900GS. All my parts are collecting dust with the seller... This post has been edited by ghost321: Mar 27 2007, 06:31 PM

Then again........ » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « GeForce 8600 GTS, 8600 GT and 8500 GT are all firmed for April 17th launch and card makers have already received revision A2 GPUs from NVIDIA for mass production. We can expect cards to reach distributors and retailers in 2 weeks time ready for mass availability in the market. The performance of the G84 and G86 cards are pretty ideal so far and card makers are satisfied. Using a Core 2 Extreme QX6700 processor, the 3DMark06 scores for 8600 GTS reaches 7K, 8600 GT is 5.9K while 8500 GT is 2.9K. Date: March 27, 2007, 11:33 pm http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=48648800GTS is about RM1100-RM1200. How much it can drop? RM800-900? 8600GTS is about RM700-800. Kinda impossible to think.

QUOTE(shinzhizu @ Apr 12 2007, 06:44 PM) After R600 is out, if the 8800gts 320mb is drop, sure grab it..coz 8600gts now is arround rm800.., then the new price of 8800gts 320mb would be arround rm900-1000..(max 1100) so, adding rm200-300 can turn 8600gts to 8800gts - 128bit to 320bit - 256mb to 320mb only those who have the $, i suggest take 8800gts 320mb and above..(a new dx10 world) if not, j ust take 8600gt (bulk can get rm550)..then, when rich, sell of and go for 8800gts..yeah!! agree agree!
