Are you like crazy ?  shakehead.gif

When there's a thunderstorm, you have to off every single equipment in the house, be it the modem, computer, air-con, TV, radio. And just to be extra save .... i always unplug all power cables from the plugs during a thunderstorm.

I have never had a burnt modem or a burnt PSU and never got shocked before  biggrin.gif
I think its possible ... coz your body completes the cycle flow of the electricity.  sweat.gif

I can't think of having 100K++ Watts going through your amp and your guitar  sweat.gif

well i guess it can't be helped right? i mean they have to keep cost low to be able to churn out affordable guitars for us. . . not everyone can afford a Gibson costing 7k plus. . . on top of that i say give them a few more years and maybe they'll pickup. . . Japan used to be like the "china" last time. . . all the big names are going east lolz. . . even the Ibanez S series are all made in Korea now, including the prestige models. . .
*
i asked the dude about it..

the LP supreme was sold for 17k to a orang putih

HA! Sucker!
A Gibson LP Custom (costing about RM12k) sounds better IMHO....
Well, not THAT humble anyway.....
But again..... that's just me
*
where did you try the LP custom ? blink.gif
havent really seen one in a music shop around

i disagree you should expect an Epiphone to play/sounds almost like a Gibson..

If you actually own a Gibson / Tried a Gibson..
Epiphones are like TOYS to you..

same for Fender , don't need MIA lar..if you own a MIM/MIJ/MIK ..
the squire feels like a guitar you want to slam on the stage already..

i have a Musicman Axis ..when i tried the OLP copies , i nearly puke ..

and the best part of it is people seem to give good reviews about OLP

thing is
im only a student and i dont want to always spring out cash
so i want something which i can get once and be satisfied with it for a long time

so really having a harrrd time deciding =/
*
bro , to be honest with you . you can't go wrong with seymour duncans . really..thats my opinion ..i have tried plenty of duncans , so far i hated hotrails the most , the rest is just great smile.gif

anyway , i had that problem too . cash for gears ...
i solved it by working part time smile.gif then you buy sell , buy sell , buy sell abit , get active in the used market...you can experience and own many gears

buy second hand , then you wouldn't be worried too much about trying to recover how much you bought it for

i'm not expert, but it seems it should come naturally by intense practising. Try the sweeping on different arpeggios patterns, in order to familiarize both your hands...

and pay attention to your picking/sweeping hand : it should be frozen. The movement should come from the forearm, not from the wrist or the fingers...
*
not really. people usually start from the forearm..
it is possible to sweep from the wrist or the fingers ..it creates different dynamics..depends on what you want actually

Hi I've got a pretty simple question and I don't really feel like opening up a thread just for the sake of it and I don't really know where else to post this question.

Where can I find a decent guitar strap with shoulder pads? Planet Waves stock these straps but I was told the strap locks rub against the guitar and may cause damage thru extended use. And the ones without strap locks, come without the shoulder pads either... doh.gif

Mu budget is well..hopefully something not beyond RM100.00 la tongue.gif

My apologies to Mr Blacktrix in advance if this question is in the wrong place.
*
somebody is making it big already eh ?

gigging alot , need strap with shoulder pads tongue.gif

Well, hopefully they start bringing in CHEAPER WELL MADE GIBSONS/EPIPHONES then I'll consider that.

For the moment.... If I can buy a Jackson here in Bentley, I'll do that.
If I have to pay an extra RM500-1000 bucks? Wouldn't you order from Ishibashi too?

Also, don't forget.... they offer alot more models then what we can find here.

I find it good that the consumer has a choice now, instead of having to pay a premium JUST because we have to.... So shops are getting more competitively priced and offering better service in order to get us to buy from their stores instead. There's nothing like testing the crap out of a guitar before buying it.

So, it's all the consumer's choice really. If or course Malaysia offers the same guitar at the same price, heck.... go support your local retailer then. It's better, because you can actually test, inspect and try out the guitar before purchasing.
*
i doubt our music shops will lower their prices

if you work in the industry long enough , you will realized that many shops really do want to lower down their prices and stuffs..but its all controlled by xxx shall not touch his name here..

anyway , its a long process to change a price.

now the most we can hope for is they don't increase the price at all , while other countries increase yearly

but hey ...

Crazy prices in Malaysia , makes the 2nd hand market more interesting tongue.gif

thats why when JS music took over Dimarzio , and cut the price down to RM300-360
i was kinda disappointed lar..
i cannot use my "hey , wohh FATT selling new for RM480 you know !! " line

oh yea.. gain10music sure is in trouble now ..Malaysians buy dimarzio from gain10 tongue.gif

Well you have a relative in US, untunglar.  biggrin.gif

Anyway, Guitar Store shouldn't be hunting me since I buy my accessories from them and brought them some business too. biggrin.gif
*
hmmm..to be honest , i have a sister working there , she's getting her PR soon..

but its useless lar...
cause i am sooooo used to pay 2nd hand price ..

so when i buy new , abit pain lar..

untung only if i wanna buy new , plus
only a few brands that is worth getting there lar , imo like Dean , Schecter , Gibby , Musicman , Brian Moore , BC RICH

i think ESP , Fender , ibanez , Godin ..just get it here/sg lar

Seymour Duncan and Dimarzio , Malaysia / Singapore is better
i paid a fvcking JB jr for 75 USD in Guitar Center and when i came back here was cheaper ..pissed..

Pedals , with MYstompbox dude around for EHX , can lar ..
