wahh anyone have any idea how to improve stamina on downstrokes? T_T

i'm trying to increase my downstroke stamina because i wanna play master of puppets with only downstrokes tongue.gif at least for the opening verse haha.

my timing always runs if i use alternate, no control over the upstroke. plan to rectify the probs one by one.

but i wanna play with downstrokes tongue.gif

Trivium? somehow downstroke riffs on Like Light to the Flies is much less tiring than Master of Puppets. sweat.gif

the first part is easier to play all downstrokes than the second part lah! at least to me laugh.gif i mean, it's not all that difficult, just that my hand tires out once I repeat that thing twice laugh.gif

i played at about 1/2 or 1/3 speed first to get the feel and sorta warm up to the song
then i let 'er rip(make sure you get the song down slow first)

the sliding part's easy, and I use alternate picking for the 'chug-chug-chug' part. makes things hell lotta less tiring laugh.gif

I guess I just have to build up stamina, haha. Master of Puppets only deserves to be played with downstrokes! tongue.gif

yeah I agree with you. a consistent downstroke is hard to acheive. stamina.

i remedy that by just barely lifting my palm up hehe! to get a consistent downstroke on that part is not all that difficult imo.
