jazz III reds i assume?
*
both red and black

QUOTE(Pix @ Mar 25 2007, 02:46 AM)
i evenually find them too "soft", lack of precision in alternate picking... but they give a very warm sound though.
*
i find the red ones soft too thats why i use black ones

i found out why i couldnt pull off pinch harmonics last time, it was because of the dead strings vmad.gif

now that i changed to these fresh strings i can hit a pinch harmonic almost everytime consistently icon_rolleyes.gif

Sorry man, I just don't get the Jazz picks.
It's not fat enough for me to pull off my (or should I say Zakk's) signature P-O-Ds.......
and as everyone who comes to a jam knows..... I'm NOTHING without the P-O-Ds.......
*
POD? pinch harmonic...of doom! ?

yeah i watched pick of destiny too. there was a part that sounded very much like a song i know but i just cant remember it.
if there was really a pick like that then nobody needs skill anymore. but their songs were pretty catchy

I love to use JazzIII's for lead playing, thick enough but yet warm because they are made of nylon instead of plastic or tortex, but they could be a little too thick for strumming.
*
i use it for strumming too but its a little short cuz when i strum i tend to stick it out more

sweetooth, is that you who came in in the middle of the jam holding a little plastic bag containing pink colored picks and passing it to echo?
*

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Mar 26 2007, 06:11 PM)
I know alot of guys were going to kill me....... But I just don't "get" football.
Sorry.
I'm more of a Pro Wrestling kinda guy. tongue.gif
*
yeah i still watch wrestling. i love guessing what happens next and i'm always right yawn.gif Entertainment after all

QUOTE(blackangel @ Mar 26 2007, 06:13 PM)
haha how about arsenal? tongue.gif

by the way...all the experiene guitarists...i would wanna ask..if i hold a pick with 3 fingers..would that be ok?well...im not acoustic player...nor zakk wylde style...but i like jimmy page so much...when i do hybrid picking..there will be no middle finger..i have been using 3 fingers to hold a pick since i started playing guitar..
*
i used to like holding with 3 fingers till my teacher told me not to(gotta hybrid pick)
so now i'm using 2 fingers, easier to pinch too. i realize i can pinch without having to hold my thumb really close to the pick, just "dig in" to the strings(i usually use this to make just slight PH's)

wheee
bought 4 jazz III's
not too bad
thick as hell tho
2 reds n 2 blacks
the reds are way hard on their own man
the blacks are firmer than the reds
=p

comparison to tortex jazz
the jazz III is warmer sounding, thicker and slightly smaller
feels like its realllll durable, grip wise is pretty good unexpectedly
=p
*
i find black ones harder than red ones. i tried bending them, the black ones won't budge but the red ones bent. does that count to stiffness too ?

i find black ones have better grip. and yes they are very very durable, still using my first one right now. got 2 more in stock icon_rolleyes.gif

im having a sd-1.but its jz like a useless thing when i wanna practice metallica's.when it is a booster due to my sucky marshall 10watter it doesnt sound good.of coz when i wanna play something that is raw like deep purple n lep zep..the tube effect distortion is really good.

guys issit worth a swap?if i get mt2 ill be selling sd1 off..but its a discontinued model alredy isnt it?im in dilemma!

or shld i get a boss EQ ?hmm any experience analog pedals user here?give ur 2 cents!thx

If you're looking for a good distortion pedal to play metal stuff, you should try out Moen MO-VM from the guitar store. i bought it and its great

my friend wants to get a multi-fx pedal, his budget is RM1.4k - rm2k.

he says "any pedal cheaper pedal less than that is **** and worthless"
tho i don't really agree with that, i'm just helping him out here.

blackangel: with a few tweaks i'm sure you can get the sound you want. i'm still experimenting different sounds

asura: yeap. i'm just helping. if i were to get a multi fx i'll probably get a g2.1u first. won't spend so much on a first multi fx..

so.. what can you get for RM1.5k? laugh.gif
