Hi guys, help me out here....

The Aipo AS 25L and the AS 31L, the price difference isnt much. Surely 31L should be better. Is there anything that causes the price to be so close ?

Is the AS 25l better than the 31l.

Will appreciate any view and help. Thank you.

Might be off topic but have u considered DIY? It will cost you less than RM30.

All you need is a air tight container (quite cheap at Mr DIY), hygrometer (about RM5) and Dehumidifier which can last about 2-3 months (RM5)

I'm doing this now smile.gif

Appreciate ur reply. Believe me, i did put in a container frm diy.... its not air tight. Also i dnt want to be guessing how much dehumifire i must put. The wrong amount and it dries out the rubber parts !

I know what u mean. But its a matter of preference. Thanks.

price close? looks normal to me...about rm50 difference.

neither one is better, but obviously one is bigger a bit...so buy depending on ur needs and what u need to fit.

i been using the aipo 38L for the last 6-7yrs...still working fine...just had to change the adapter roughly every 3yrs.

Almost made payment for aipo 31L, then this came to me http://www.gstrapinuse.com/index.php?main_...d2f2e95384783c2

They dnt sell aipo and recommend Nabuxson... fully digital unlike analog like aipo.

Is it too difficult to control the analog ? Have to set frequently ? Or its just as easy peasy !

hi there, you can get 1 or to be safe 3 Hygrometers from Daiso (2 out of 3 voting system becoz their meter cheap but not so accurate) so you can monitor the humidity. but chances are even with humidifier you can only get around 50% humidity. and everytime you open the container more humid gets in.

i have a small dry box that fits 2 DSLR & 2 compact camera, i can say it's not really air tight, maybe the rubber are old.

The model is Aipo AS-21L, it's the size of a microwave.

Even highest setting i can only get 60% humidity which is more or less same as room humidity... the analog temp+humid combo meter is faulty now, so i put a Daiso Hygrometer inside.

thanks for the info.

Yeah i too wanted to get the 25L, but afraid its too small. For now i have a dslr, another mirror less, one 150mm lense. I think this it self will take 90% of the space in the 25L. Knowing me, i am sure i will some other stuff much later, hence opting for at least 31L.

size of micro wave huh...thsta why i was imagining. thanks for the comparison, it helps.

meter gone ? ohw, more than 5 yrs already ?

actually how do you set these analog dry boxs' ?

analog is set with a turning dial got few settings A-E. it's not feedback from the analog meter as they are just for info. it broke like temperature showing 10degC & humid 70%.

however anyone using this make can tell me why when i turn the dial below D, the red lights turns off? issit the system got it's own humid detector so it turns off based on the measurement?

umm a dry box for cameras set at 45rh technically isnt dry air...nor is it hot as its room temperature.
leather should actually be kept between 30-40rh...malaysian humidity is way too high to store leather out in the open.

My 25L drybox can fit in Canon 6D, canon 70-200mm F4L lens, Samyang 14mm lens, Canon 24-105mm F4 Lens and Canon 40mm lens.

I use xioami temp and humidity zigbee sensors to monitor the drybox, I have a smart home system than can monitor the sensor, if humidity sensor exceed threshold, it can alert me.

I may have used the wrong terminology. I have set humidity to 43% but the box reading is higher between 49% and 53%.

I can't go back to the seller as I have lost his contact. Who/where can I send for checking in PJ/KL area?
