Hi guys, I'm using ASUS B150 Pro Gaming mobo (latest BIOS version) and would like to ask why after sometime of PC idling, when I wakes it up I notice that the red LED on VGA LED BOOT DEVICE lights up. Everything seems to be working fine though. But when it lights up, it suppose to indicate something wrong? Need help pls

Download your motherboard manual from Asus official website.
The manual itself should explain Red LED meaning.

both of the VGA LED & BOOT DEVICE lit up?
does it remain lit until you shutdown or for awhile?

According to Asus manual, if the LED lit up, it mean there is some error

Only the VGA LED lights up after some time then when I restart, the LED is off after POST. Happened again after PC on sometime but graphics card is still working. The one that lighting up is the second last LED horizontally.

Do you perform any Windows or Driver updates? Just to be making sure your Driver are working properly with your current windows.

That is VGA LED only...not the BOOT DEVICE LED...
Try to update your display driver and check bios display settings...

I'm only using the GPU card. Not necessary to install Intel driver right?

I would suggest you to install the driver too because OS will detect it as 1 of the device

I would still suggest you to run driver updates, update everything. And we will see about it.

Currently your using which GPU? Is it your video output currently connected to MOBO or GPU?

If end up still no results, i would suggest you have a RMA check.

yup.

ok, i just realised it's actually the boot device LED that's lid up. rclxub.gif
also i tested it after a restart, the LED was ok.

only once i put into SLEEP mode and wakes it, the boot device LED comes alive

Good to hear that is no longer your GPU issues. smile.gif

For boot device led i would suggest you fully shut down pc, pull out power cord, leave it like few seconds, replug in all cables that connected between mobo/hdd/ssd except gpu. sweat.gif
