Hi, anyone here take turmeric curcumin supplement? Please recommend the good quality brand with good price. Thank you.

Buy one with meriva (source natural)
Alternatively can try one with BCM-95.(terry naturally)

Method of delivery of curcumin is important. Meriva uses lecithin to increaee absorption. Bcm-95 uses turmeric oil and micronized curcumin to increase abaorption.

Curcumin without any delivery technologies is useless.

Pm me if you want more details.

Just taking curcumin supplement is not going to help in keeping cancer at bay.

Curcumin has many benefits, among which is for joint health due to it being anti-inflammatory. It is this quality (anti-inflammation) which also lends itself for cancer prevention. However, do note that curcumin is also a blood thinner.

Curcumin is one of the most potent anti cancer substance around. It have nothing to do with it's anti inflammatory quality.
Curcumin kills by variety of molecular pathways.

My stomach discomfort and has many wind. I suspect H Pylori, so want to try curcumin. I read newspaper that curcumin is good to stomach & has no side effect. Blood thinning is the side effect?

Probably combining both curcumin and honey would be a good idea, however, it is best to get medical attention if there is any serious problem. Since herbal preparation usually takes sometime to work compared to prescription or over the counter drugs (the latter comes with side effects of course)

Not necessarily. If you read review on amazon, some work instantly for pain. Somw work as good as ibuprofen.

Herbal stuff works differently for different people, Amazon is not a clinical research paper and is just testimonial of end users or even distributors; could be biased.

That said, there are clinical papers which indicate curcumin as a herbal replacement which has far better benefit from ibuprofen provided the supplement has necessary ingredients for good absorption by the body.

They may not be scientific papers but their reviews are better than dubious website reviews.

Also I seem to recall that you are a medical student. Of course they don't teach you all these in the medical school. These are all additional research yoi need to do yourself. Of course if you take up natupathic medicine, they will teach you all these.

Since you want clinical trials for curcumin here you go
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3535097/

If companies in US is trying patent turmeric, it tells tou that there is something good in turmeric. Drug companies won't patent something if they cannot make money. You can never go wrong if you follow the money trail.

Yes I agree they don't teach this in medical school. However, do note that herbs work holistically on the body versus drugs which directly works on the affected areas. This is why herbal stuff is much sought after and since different people have different metabolic system; different people have different response time. The same goes for drugs, some people show side effects very fast; whereas, some show it much later.

While Curcumin is good, there are also side effects which one should note and how to make curcumin effective in treatment or in supplements is also stated in clinical journals which is based on scientific research. Just taking doses of curcumin without a supplementing co-efficient like Bostwella or equivalent; it will not be effective.

I am sorry if you misunderstood, what I am saying is that Amazon claims can be misleading as sometimes resellers create multiple accounts to verify and support their claims.

It pays to be an educated consumer.

P/S: I am not a medical student but a Science Student and still learning on nutrition and metabolic health.

That's why you look for verified buyer/reviewer who have good track record.
