Hey all, if I wanna play my PS4 (should I buy it later) and plug into a simple monitor that has no hdmi port, I would need the VGA converter, is it ok to do so? I mean how would it affect the quality? How about the sou d system? I do have Bluetooth speaker, don't fancy earphones much.

Please help to clarify, I would like to clarify these before making decision. Hehe, thanks!

I play on 40-inch tv (1080p) with PS4 Slim that I just bought recently, don't see anything wrong with it. And works very well for Monster Hunter World. I play most of my games on my gaming laptop and PS4 Slim fits my budget nicely, I don't need to pay anything extra for something that I might not use again after one or two games. lol. And honestly, majority of the people isn't trained enough to have the eyes to notice the differences.

Like I know PS4 is coming to its end of life very soon as Sony is going to release PS5 sooner or later (some say this year or next year) That itself is enough to justify my reasons not to spend the extra money, because the console is getting old, and also I know I will be playing only HZD and Monster Hunter World (cause I couldn't wait for PC release) only as the other titles I already have them on PC. So I am like ok, i don't want to pay extra for PS4. haha. and you can get PS4 slim as cheap as RM930~RM950 with free GOW and 3 months PSN subscription. Sounds good to me. But if you plan to play long term and have tons of titles that you want to play on PS4 then by all means go for the higher end if you have the budget. haha.

Scout around, i think you can get it for less than RM950.
I got mine around that price with 3 months subscriptions + God of War game.

I bought from Maxlink4gamers but their service is horrid.

I just realised that my MHW is region 2, and the additional content I need to download from R2 (EU) PSN. I am using the workaround method, meaning adding a EU account into my PS4, download and then play on my Asia account (since my save file is in asia PSN).

Is this a very common thing? Because I don't want to have issue later for an example, if they have expansion packs later, which I need to buy from EU account, and turns out they lock it then i cannot play on Asia account, where my save file is. That would be nightmare.

See how la, if all your competitors drop their prices or dealers make noises, everybody will be forced to drop also. Some people will want to take this opportunity to earn 6% more, but there's always competition.

You need a US account. Need US address, might require VPN to register (don't remember this, but I don't think require).
Buy US PS credit from international sellers.
Top up to your US account wallet.
Then buy the subscription.

yeap, make sure the PS Store Credit is a US PS Store Credit. They will most likely send you the card or the code (depending on the seller) so that you can top up money to your US PSN account. That's what I know of. The subscription card for the US account, i am not very sure about that.

I just finished that game. Even binge played until 5AM during the Raya holiday. It's amazing! The best game I have ever played YET, until TLOU2 releases. I hope that you have a copy of it now and will love it as much as i do.

Might be able to get about RM1k or below in certain shops? That's roughly how much I got mine.

If you want to go online and play with others then yes you will need the subscription. Basically you are paying to use the Sony server's to connect with others. You can get 3 free games each month as well, depending on their roster. These days a lot of Ps4 bundles come with free 3 months subscription so you can test it out.
