It might be event/contest to select winners to attend PSX 2017
other possibles:
1. launch of locally related media apps eg. Astro on the Go, iflix or HyppTV
2. PS Now
3. launch of local Youtube channel (eg. like Hong Kong and Taiwan)

Wishful thinking.

PSX SEA is basically just a mini-E3 with no keynotes and no major game announcements (other than regional news that is). They are only bringing games (from the same E3 builds) here for some extra exposure.

However this event does serve as a good stepping stone for the industry to look at SEA as an important market for their games. Perhaps one day this part of the world will become as integral as the US, Europe and Japan.

Hopefully they'll have a decent floorspace and good amount of playable demo kiosks of notable titles from first and 3rd party publishers.
Will be nice to have playable demos of upcoming 2017 releases and VR games too:
Wolfenstein 2, Nino Kuni 2, PES 2018, FIFA 18, Call of Duty WWII, AC Origins

Did SCEJA just hijacked the 'Playstation Experience' name or they got their blessing from SCEA? hmm.gif

SIEJA stipulates that all English game releases in the Asia region must have a locally translated version (usually Chinese/Korean) at release also. This is a problem for a lot of indie teams who don't have resources to localize a game at launch.

Thanks @swimfan
Quite a silly thing to have such a rule... doh.gif

really? since when is the localized language in Malaysia is bloody chinese/korean?

SEA is not china. when are those dumbass morons in SIEJA will get that into their brains? SEA region should have been placed under SIEE instead. if that happened we would get all those missing games instead of all the stupid chinese/korean/japanese games they are currently selling in ps store.

Yes...
I also find PSN store way too busy with multiple versions of a game due to language, bundles, etc....should be made cleaner...like Steam...mainpage for the game...options or bundles listed under it
