QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ May 1 2017, 11:13 AM) no, you can't hot swap the hard disk since it is encrypted. alternatively, you can transfer your files from PS4 to PS4 Pro via Ethernet (but at a slower pace). thanks for reply, any alternative way? Because last time i bought a 2 TB hdd for my old ps4, now i want to swap the 2tb hdd to my ps4 pro. is that mean i will need to find another hdd and transfer the data to that hdd first then do the same thing again from that hdd to 2tb hdd again after plug it to ps4 pro?

QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ May 1 2017, 11:51 AM) that is a very repetitive and long process. i would suggest you to make a back up of your game saves 1st, format the 2TB drive, plug it into the PS4 Pro and install the update. finally, reinstall all the games and updates on your PS4 Pro. this is to save you bucks from getting a new drive just for the sake of transferring. i got keep the 500 gb hdd last time for my old ps4. is that the games and update can be transfer to HDD as well due to my internet was very slow (1mbps speed only), if i need to reinstall all the games and update, it will really take more than 1 weeks time ...

QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ May 1 2017, 03:28 PM) Unless if the total capacity used in your current PS4 does not exceed 500GB, you're still safe, at least. yes, i think should less than 500gb, is that can transfer together with the games and update?

QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ May 2 2017, 10:31 AM) yes, it includes both the games and updates. just make sure both system are installed with the latest system update. okok, is that the steps for transfer game is same like backup game saving data?
