I am new to this and would like your advice and experiences.
Our neighbours want to get together to protest this assessment.
Have received the "Notis Pemberitahuan Pindaan Senarai Nilaian" for this new Service Apartment property in Tampoi, Johor Bahru.
This is the 4th month after we have gotten VP from developer.
Feel that the yearly assessment is rather high. 0.27% rate (Service Apartment).
For 2+1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms: Nilai Tambahan of the 947 sq ft apartment is RM309,000 so yearly is RM834.30
For 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom: Nilai Tambahan for the 560 sq ft apartment is RM196,000 so yearly is RM529.20
This is for the lowest floor.
Have spoken to the Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru's Jabatan Penilaian (Valuation Department) and they said to write in:
1. stating I am dissatisfied with the valuation.
2. stating that developer was late in handing us this notice in late March 2017 - after the deadline to appeal has ended 20 March 2017. So please accept our late submission.
Then MPJB will call us to come for a meeting. To personally give the reasons for the dissatisfaction.
Has anyone successfully gone through this meeting, what are the reasons given?
