thinking of buying a 49-50 inch UHD smart tv
short listed samsung UA50KU6000 and LG 49UH650T /617T

any opinions which one is better ? how to know which LG models are newer ?
is it worth to get extended 2 years warranty for TVs ?

You really need a side-by-side comparo to determine for your eyes which of these two you should be. Bear in mind that samsung will have a poor viewing angle, from my own experience of owning one although mine is a 65-incher. IMHO, unless you are going to sit up real close, like 5 feet away from the screen, for the 50-incher you are getting, you should seriously consider a good 1080p panel for around the same price and you'll end up with a better picture.

Thank you for your reply. I opted for the LG650T smile.gif Hopefully it was a good choice, wanted one with UHD.
