Need some help here. I currently need a prepaid plan just for my outstation work. Normally will be sharing hotspot for my laptop and my phone (always drain my personal data for work).

Can anyone advise me should I be using UMI30 or MB40? I'm abit confused with MB40 plan. Everyday got 2gb or what? But if 2GB is non 3G then it's a pity.

It says, 2GB all day. Kinda confusing. Sometime is very weird also, like Celcom, mobile plan seems more cheaper than internet plan. hmm.gif

capped @ 5mbps,

According to Google, minimum requirement for good streaming of 720p HD videos is >2.5 Mbps. So for 1080p 4 Mbps or more will do.

correct ah ? blush.gif  found it from google

Will inform UM on this point.

All day means as compared with the extra 1GB quota, which is only deducted 2am-8am.

It says on Umobile FAQ , APP-onz can be shared/hotspot, but when i used my hotspot for my friend for Instagram , my MB's Quota still decreased.

Someone help me ?

Now at Pearl Point mall.

Not sure whether this is city centre. Dark dark outside so no idea. As usual I'm a passenger.

D: Down 17Mbps, Up 8Mbps
UM: Down 24Mbps, Up 17Mbps

Been getting mixed results. Different places different coverage and speed. But overall my verdict is KL always close to full bar.

I've been testing using mobile legends as a benchmark. Seems my game is smooth so ok la. Luckily not feeder although I switch between mobile data and MOBIFI. And lucky can win still.

Perhaps you can try at night & see if the speed remains for UM. For me, since early of the year, once 8pm onwards, the line will crawl.

seems like lots of negative feedback on UM,
is it still viable for new sign ups? usage in petaling jaya and sg buloh, is the internet stable?

Feel like getting a prepaid starter pack to test 1 month, before porting in for postpaid

Get a prepaid to test out before switch.

For my case, it's getting worst for location I hanging around even it's upgraded to 4G, give me back my stable line instead of faster speed.
