Hi guys,
I'm planning to get the samsung s8 phone plan plus the postpaid p70(currently using ).
In the tnc, it is mentioned that you are required to enrol using a credit card with your own name on it as well.
Just wondering if debit card is possible as well?

Wanted to get it but still awaiting a credit card since I'm a cash believer. Lol. Thoughts n advice is appreciated wink.gif
*
debit card is not available

for U package CC waiver eligible, u might get it without credit/debit card, just monthly repay the installment
u may pm me ur number and registered name to check if eligible for the CC(credit card) waiver

Plan to port into UMobile , current using Telco C

But I heard that the coverage is not really good?

How is everyone here feedback?

Anyway im from Sarawak...
*
test it with a normal prepaid first within ur area ( working, home, places u always hang around)
then decide to port to umobile or not, can look for me for discount la brows.gif

QUOTE(joshhd @ Jun 7 2017, 02:59 PM)
Usually I don't advise people to port out from the big 3 telcos (either Maxis, Celcom and Digi) to U Mobile due to poorer network performance. But, if the main reason you chose U Mobile is because of the attractive plans and you're tight in budget and you want a "pay less but get more" deal, then U Mobile is your choice. But in terms of network performance (e.g. Coverage and Internet speed), U Mobile lose la...

Of course, u can try U Mobile first. If you're not satisfied with their network, then port out to others lo.
*
As a dealer, I think thats fair since umobile never tie any contract for most plans, even with Iphone / Broadband plan, no harm to try, and tbh, area like Sunway ,Subang , PJ most places enjoy Umobile well since not congested at all, while those places that need U Mobile a lot damn suffering like Damansara Damai, Setapak, Rawang
for those places that NONE telco is good at all cry.gif , U Mobile is the better option (best among worst).
As an user, sure I would choose the telco that's suit me most la, always switchable, benefit from telcos' fight rclxms.gif

Last time my are UMobile is doing quite well, not decent speed but stable.

Ever since so called spectrum relocation, now indeed most location comes with 4G connection but the speed is like SHIT! Even got 4G full bar but no connection at all, moreoever, tried to force in 3G mode also line is unstable.

Before this I enjoy my time talking on my chair & now I have to go near windows to get proper talking session.  doh.gif

Ppl getting better but UMobile getting worst...
*
hmm hmm.gif some places digi getting worse, ppl jump to umobile,
but now most places umobile worse, ppl jump to others, i believe not long time later, some ppl jump back, and then might jump out again thumbsup.gif as long as we suka we always can jump, just like i can cancel my credit card anytime and apply another 1 new subscriber got more benefit rclxms.gif

Yup. Digi & Celcom is the same at my company's place, always no line when indoor but definitely better than current UMobile.

My previous rating - Maxis > U Mobile > Celcom > Digi
My current rating -  Maxis > Celcom > Digi > UMobile

WTF is going on with UMobile?  ranting.gif

Complained UMobile then they asked me to screenshot speedtest, I straight F them said no connection at all how to make speedtest screenshot?
*
same experience like me at old time @ Jinjang Utara, tested all digi/ hotlink/celcom/p1, finally U Mobile appear as a god, too good to be true, that's why i joined u mobile being a dealer, but then now LPPL cry.gif also need back up plans for me and customers too. but maxis really unbelieveable expensive la, well branded, different class of target customers, even standard of dealers is better, worst dealers among U/M/C/D is U Mobile confirmed

Just port to p78, seems that i can youtube at 720p smoothly. I thought it was capped at 480p?
*
capped @ 5mbps,

According to Google, minimum requirement for good streaming of 720p HD videos is >2.5 Mbps. So for 1080p 4 Mbps or more will do.

correct ah ? blush.gif found it from google

Haha was in transit so can only test transit areas. Anyway all my tests were done inside building or train. I'm too scared to test on the road. Later bangla rob me.

At bank negara KTM (my last stop for testing coz my MOBIFI bo batt after that)

D: Down 28Mbps, Up 26Mbps

UM: Down 8Mbps, Up 12Mbps
I'm at Sg.Buloh. But MOBIFI charging so can't test D.

UM: Down 8Mbps, Up 5Mbps
My experience so far. Didn't experience any congestion issue where page can't load. So far I'm able to play mobile legends at all the areas mentioned without having red ping. I test both telcos by switch off my mobile data or wifi.

Admittedly, D has better speed in KL compared to UM in Penang. But I'll continue testing in KL since my gf will be the one driving. Hahaha
*
what do u mean by bangla rob u doh.gif

btw sungai buloh which part, bandar baru there or hospital or after BRP, my shop is beside the store BRP only, here very stable since a signal tower just placed on the store

Just noticed from last night and this morning.. Is umobile now deducting Waze data from free 1GB prepaid lines? I only use the device for light browsing and navigation.. No UMI plan subscription.. Prior to this, it used to be unlimited Waze usage.. Checking on the website, seems like the wording has changed to "Free Data for Waze for All Unlimited Mobile Internet (UMI) Plans".  hmm.gif  sad.gif  sad.gif

prepaid's benefit always being changed without prior notice, only received sms while they change the call rate mad.gif

Oops my testing isn't sg.buloh. Haha I stopped at sg.buloh station so I tot it's the same. I'm at damansara perdana. Metropolitan square. Again indoor testing.

UM results as per earlier.
D: Down 18Mbps. Up 9Mbps
*
basically u test with LRT / MRT stations mostly placed at outdoor, the signal is strong and good, testing inside shopping complex more challenging tongue.gif
