Good or bad news.
UMobile terminating line sharing with Maxis.

Expected since UMobile oledi granted new spectrum by MCMC, why need to pay more?

However, I just didn't see UMobile is technically ready for it as we can see the worst changes right now.

Still, I believed UMobile is able to resolve those issues but just customer need to be very PATIENT lor. Hence, UMobile has its benefit in low price compared to others telco.

For me, stability & coverage is my main concern so I switched.

how to solve whenever you call up their CS who only take your report but never get back to you unless you escalate your problem to MCMC?

Umobile customer service is horrible lo.
whenever you report your place Umobile slow..turtle...Guess what...it will be the same problem until unless their so-call technical Dept decide to look into your report.

slowly wait lo

If this the case will the cell coverage be worse for iPhone 5? With no 2g?

They have very limited infra in East Malaysia. I guess they are confident of building their own towers towards the end of 2018 when the Maxis agreement ends or otherwise there will be a lot of customers suddenly without signal later

So if happen to be outside umobile 3g and 4g coverage, it will be NO SERVICE? i dunno whether this is for better or worse.

i think they had plan it properly before doing such a big decision. quite shock but hope they will have a good and better coverage in the future.

Things like coverage expansion wont happen overnight. I still think 1 year is quite a short time for them to improve their network. But maybe the cost of network sharing fixed by MAXIS is too high that it would be cheaper for umobile to built its own towers.

Until now no official statement from umobile yet. Everyone seems to be busy celebrating Raya at umobile. So lets wait for a good news.

The agreement with Maxis that is being terminated is only for 3G roaming, 2G remains.

Will that means that 3g network becomes worse( more congested, slower/no internet)?
