use velour instead?

Velour will start getting yucky with regular usage after a year plus. I see a lot of my friends with black and brown velours.

I think the earpad thing is okay. Just imagine its an operating cost. Every year maybe RM50-100, divide per month and its cheaper than a mamak meal.

If real leather then yeah need to take good care as mentioned above by our friends. They're like leather shoes, need tender loving care.

What if they don't sell your heaphone earpad anymore?

Get compatible size for different model. For instance Brainwavz HM5 pad is compatible with so many over ear headphones that they're the go-to upgrade pads for HD650 or JVC HA-S500
