All those fake leathers always peel... less than 2 years have to change a new headphone (if they don't sell that model pad)

is there a headphone that uses good quality pads? like real leather pads

even real leather pads will peel in 4 to 5 years unless you really cradle it with body lotion.

Real leather is the only one that will last the longest. Gentle wipe-down after every use, and moisturise twice a year, you can expect it to last. You'd likely be selling the headphone off with the leather ear-pads you had on even after 10 years.

They are a premium product. Sennheiser Momentum if I'm not mistaken does come with genuine leather earpads. There are plenty of manufacturers of genuine leather replacement earpads, but headphone manufacturers themselves seem to be a bit more reserved when using genuine leather.

I have a regular fake leather that lasted for over 2 years now (Superlux HD681 Evo), and no sign of quitting. High quality fake leather like those that come with the higher end Audio Technicas I've seen people looking for replacements after 5 years or so.

Velour will start getting yucky with regular usage after a year plus. I see a lot of my friends with black and brown velours.

I think the earpad thing is okay. Just imagine its an operating cost. Every year maybe RM50-100, divide per month and its cheaper than a mamak meal.

If real leather then yeah need to take good care as mentioned above by our friends. They're like leather shoes, need tender loving care.

Velour is a dust magnet, just so you know. It'll start getting scummy after a year or so if you sweat a lot.

Get compatible size for different model. For instance Brainwavz HM5 pad is compatible with so many over ear headphones that they're the go-to upgrade pads for HD650 or JVC HA-S500

just buy a piece of cloth (microfiber etc, up to you), wipe your EARS dry first, before you wear your headphone, then once finished, gently wipe the pad surface dry before putting it back into storage

my beyer pads still looking good after 2 years, make sure the pad surface is dry during usage & in storage

Has anyone replace the Mi Headphone pad before?

Or is there a compatible model pad for the Xiaomi Headphone?

The pads started to peel off.
