To all fellow ps3 owners, does ps3 have any overheating issues or hardware (e.g. harddisk) problems? Thanks! notworthy.gif

11 hours non stop gaming... respect man! notworthy.gif
Does the ps3 feel very hot after that? Don't know true or not, but read that ps3 also may overheat and when it does it will shut off automatically.

Anyone using Samsung 226BW LCD monitor with ps3? How is the quality? Does it stretch to full screen, or will there be black bars on top and bottom?

I have the itech Clip II mini (that can pair 2 phones) and it works with ps3. I suppose this OLED model in the picture will work.
Talking abt this, can any usb webcam work with ps3? I have a usb PC webcam, but when i plug it into ps3 it says "unrecognized usb device ..."

im using samsung 226bw wit my ps3 no problem at all no black bar or wat so ever....colour n picture is nice smile.gif 720p is good enuff already

Thanks for the feedback. The 226BW native resolution is 1680x1050 (16:10) whereas 720p is 1280x720 (16:9), so the stretching won't affect the pict quality much? sweat.gif In ps3 settings, can we specify the output resolution (similar to xbox360 vga connection)?

Hi,

Just wan to update you guys....been playing with the new firmware DLNA Media Server ability.

Using Twonky Vision, I can now access all 70 GB worth of MP3 via XMB. I'll post pic later... I can directly stream the file via XMB not using the web browser like other streaming software.

As for video, I can access my video file but it shows as unspported data...I''ll tinker around a bit more to get it working...

The thing is Twonky vision cost EUR30. Right now I using the trial version.

If this thing works, I don't have to keep all my media on PS3 HDD anymore and the HDD can be used exclusively for games.
*
Why not use Windows Media Player 11 as the DLNA server? It's free. Tried with photos and mp3 and it worked. Couldn't get video to work yet, unsupported data format when trying to play some mp4 files.

Launch WMP 11 and click on Library->Media Sharing. You should be able to see ps3 as one of the device.

For owners of JP Motorstorm, good news rclxms.gif
QUOTE
May 25, 2007 - Good news for the few thousand Japanese PS3 owners who purchased Motorstorm in late 2006. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has decided to release an online expansion pack for the game. Set for release on 6/20, the free update will add 12 player online play (domestic rivals only) along with a time attack mode. The download requires 542 megabytes of hard disk space.
