Better luck next time.....Feature Boy! ROFLMAO! Next time, try having one of YOUR OWN first before you spew your bullcrap. Parasiting on other people's consoles makes you a pathetic freeloader. *wink* A proper job would help too, Mr.Manjit....last time i checked, turning on the projector and procrastinating around an empty mall is not what i call a worthwhile career. Dont hate the player, hate the game, and in this "game", your dead-end job makes you a dead end too, but works well with your excuse to freeload on everything else. LOL!

Dear stringfellow,

Before you try and get more personal with me, let me tell you. I have two jobs and i have my own office at KL Sentral. So before you act like you know me better, i suggest you to buck up your own act and don't be such a prick on the net. Ingat-ingat la sket kat dunia luar tu Si Tanggang oiiii..... laugh.gif

Ninja, thanks for hosting the gathering at your place yesterday. After this i think we can expect a few no of ppl getting the Creative DDTS-100 decoder for their consoles. With 3 composite audio and 3 optical input, it's quite a steal. So judge-the, bile lagi? brows.gif

If I'm not mistaken the upcoming MGS4 will support 7.1 channel surround system. So, I guess PS3 can handle 7.1, and you can go to 7.1 with DDTS-100 also.
*
Actually the Creative DDTS-100 can only decode up to 6.1 only. Kalo beli speaker 7.1 pon nanti dia kuar as 6.1 audio je. tongue.gif

guy can dell LCD 2405 use on ps3 using dvi-hdmi adapter??

thanks
*
Unfortunately the Dell 2405 is not hdcp compliant, so it won't work with the PS3 using the dvi-hdmi adapter. There's a way though, using another adapter but i forgot whats the product name. blush.gif Hafta search back later. tongue.gif

edit: Ok, here's one. But the price is... sweat.gif, and you still need a hdmi-dvi cable. wink.gif

It seems like the Ninja Gaiden game for PS3 is full of jaggies, you can look at the picture taken from IGN below. I know it's the full version yet, I hope the final version will be cleaned up, hate to see jaggies on the PS3 even though I'm kinda used to it for my PS2. It hurts our eyes if it's in HD and full of jaggies. I hope the hardware is capable for full screen anti-aliasing without getting a performance hit.

Hmmm... that image looks like a lower res image (1280x720) scaled to fit 1080p to me. Even then, still looks very jaggy at 720p. wink.gif

Have u read the whole thread.... doh.gif

Excerpt from the last page of the thread:
" Don't you love the smell of disinformation in the morning?

(a) That is a blog.

(b) That is neither a press release, nor any other kind of announcement

(C) You "conveniently" forgot to add a very important part of that. Namely,

Quote:
A source close to the matter gave us a few details of the upcoming release, these include [...]
Which makes it unofficial and rumor material. Again, not a press release."

Thanks
*
Jgn la marah bos, that's why he said "Hope it's true". So the info is still not comfirmed until a proper press release is announced. tongue.gif

Also, one of the most interesting here is a monitor i haven't heard of before, Samsung 225MS. 22" LCD with HDMI input, price is unknown and it's on display at Microsoft's booth. drool.gif

Overall i guess the 19" BenQ FP94VW is the best value if u plan on using your PS3 with an lcd monitor. rclxms.gif

* You can now download the PlayStation software from the PS-Store and play them directly on the PS3, if you don't have a PSP.
* You can use saved data for the PlayStation software on the PSP (so, saves from the PS3 transfer over to the PSP?)
* You can use the vibration function of accessories that are for use with PlayStation and PlayStation 2 format software.

have u tried it....for either 720p or 1080p....and the file needds to be reside in the harddisk or cd or both?

Anyone has tried it.....pls comment
*
I think unless Sony lets linux to access the RSX, then u still cant play any 720p and 1080p videos smoothly. At the moment the GPU is blocked from access by linux, so any acceleration would depend solely on the Cell processor. I've tried playback of AVC encoded 720p vids in linux and it's not smooth at all. sweat.gif

just use Xvid4psp to convert all your video and place it in the PS3 HDD or any external HDD and you can enjoy beautiful and smooth video up to 1080P.

Downside is you need to convert it to MP4 but I convert 1 or 2 video everyday...
*
I have tried that app before, but it doesn't work well with AVC/h264 encoded MKV file. The thing is, i have several full movies in 720p and 1080p with mkv extension. Transcoding the full movie to MP4 would take about a day. sweat.gif

QUOTE(lapaq @ Apr 25 2007, 01:33 AM)
What do you mean by 'doesn't work well'?

If what you meant is the time taken is too long, then it is not the apps fault...Encoding video using h264 codec is time consuming...it is not a small feat....compound with the fact that you are encoding 1080p content...taking a out a whole day for a single movie is normal for a mid level pc config.

As for a PC with Dual core proc like Core2 Duo...the speed is more bearable.

Basically the bigger the resolution the longer it will take, and the config of the encoder plays a part too...more time more quality and vice versa.

@RX330

You can also rip DVDs using this Xvid4PSP
*
What i mean is that most high profile h264 encoded mkv videos won't work with xvid4psp. You'd get unknown codec error : 'No combination of filters to render stream'. Also the MP4 container doesn't support AC3 5.1 audio, so you're stuck with AAC encoded stereo audio. Watching a HD movie with just stereo audio is just... how should i say..... incomplete. tongue.gif

QUOTE(silencer @ Apr 25 2007, 02:28 AM)
agree..most of my full mkv file is in double layer format which is about 8.5GB ..and I can't imagine gow long will it takes to re-encode it back to MP4.. and the simplest way is to make a direct connection from PC to my lcd TV..and it not only looks great at 720p or 1080p resolution, but it sounds amazing with the DTS format connected to my amplifier...And...I wonder how many movies can be fit into the external hard disk itself.....
*
Yeah, i guess the best solution would be to use a PC connected to the lcdtv then. In the future when i can afford a 1080p lcdtv, perhaps i'd get a media centre pc as well. Nowadays, there's a lot of m-ATX motherboards for MCE purposes. Asus have a cheap mobo for Core2Duo with WiFi AP built-in for just RM290 and Abit had the ATi X1250 series mobo with HDMI out, and HDMI-DVI adapter included for RM399. hmm.gif
