I'm using C1200 v1 now but i don't have such problem as constant 100% cpu utilization, 5 minutes boot up time nor router hang issue.
The router CPU utilization on my end is pretty much normal (less than 50%) with SPI firewall enabled & USB sharing access on.
Power on router until wifi get connected on my cellphone is around 1min30sec.
Btw, i get this router from TIME broadband and the firmware version is 1.0.0 Build 20170816 rel.36416 (EU)

QUOTE(teen08 @ Nov 30 2017, 09:39 AM) Thanks for the reply. I’m not sure I’m using 2.4 or 5. Chose the same names. But it should auto connect which ever is better right? Or should I off 2.4? But if I’m not mistaken 2.4 is range right? Coz I think I need it as router is on top floor at the back. And tv/Ps4 is downstairs at the front. I was using 2.4 on the Asus. Slight drop on speeds. When I was on 50mbps. Sorry but what’s AC? Guess router that I bought is redundant now. 😭 maybe can use as repeater. Hmmm. 5GHz band has better speed and less frequency interference but drawback is shorter range and bad wall penetration. 2.4GHz band has longer range and better wall penetration but drawback is slower speed and greater frequency interference. It's good that you put different SSID name e.g. myWifi2G & myWifi5G so you could connect to 2.4 for devices far away from router.

QUOTE(playoff90 @ Nov 30 2017, 03:27 PM) May i ask for suggestion staying at a 5000 sq feet place… currently using TPLINK AC1750… half of the place couldnt get any wifi. Would like to ask does wifi extender affect the speed? Would prefer to have full speed as i would like to stream HD videos. Thank you. Also there will be at least 8 users as well. or should just get a power router. Btw, each room upstairs got ethernet port as well. Need suggestion for it. Usually just use wifi and now need to google all this as just shifted place. Since you already have ethernet ports and if you have 2 routers then 90% of your problem is fixed, just youtube on how to configure your router as AP. Wifi bridge or wifi repeater setup will lose half of bandwidth.
