A report of C1200 hanging during torrents. Possibly running out of ram or memory leak. Looking worse for the C1200.

your boot up time problem may be is due to your Pc problem, my tplink C1200 boot up time untill can browse internet is only 2min 5 s ,after that work vry great like never ever before as compare to the old Dlink 850 router before unifi package upgrade, tp link c1200 wifi coverage also very good can cover my whole house until kitchen and garden outsite.

Today I have another problem, after fixed the torrent issue freezing my C1200, now I have another issue.

The setup is like this, I have a laptop connected the RJ-45 cable to the C1200 network port and running KODI on the laptop.

Now, when I try to stream movie content from my android phone, after a while, the router hangs, WiFi connection and Ethernet connection still show connected though. And I can also ping my laptop pc.

I need to press the reset button to restart the router to resume .

So how?

i got stability issue with c1200..always down...1 day maybe 2 times..searched for the new firmware, no luck yet..anyone can help me..been using Archer C1200(MY)_V1_161115

guys after I change to the Archer C1200  router provided by TM, I am not getting speed test result more than 80Mbps, on WiFi 5GHz , tried on many devices same result. Plus, Google Play Store download is delaying for 1-minute and I try to use mobile data it downloads instantly. Any solution ?

Where to check uptime on c1200?tm just change to this router for speed upgrade ..but i cant check when the uptime for unifi connection..

tbh, I flashed my c1200 to aus firmware to avoid the "suffix @unifi" thing. The boot time does improve by 2% ONLY. Yesterday when I was having free time, i updated the firmware of the router to the latest version of aus firmware (before this using an older version of the firmware of aus). I must say, after upgrade, the situation even gets worse. Hahaha. It takes long time to connect to the internet. i guess around 6 minutes. The cpu load shoots to 100% and when I download torrent or using IDM, they are not responding to the server (takes around 1 to 2 minute) before they actually starts to download.

About C1200 V1......I noticed one weird stuff.
I decided to unplug the motorolla dect phone (due to ah long issue).....and I noticed C1200 seem to hang less often....

Anyone can verify?

K, lady and gentleman....who is willing to test BETA firmware that might fix C1200 V1 (EU) random restart issue?

I'm on the beta firmware for C1200v1 EU and it is rock solid for almost 24 hours now.

No disconnect / loss of internet that requires a router reboot
No broken wifi (Wifi is turned on but some devices cannot connect)
Memory usage is currently @ 27%
Cpu usage fluctuates between 20-ish% to 100% - and I'm seeing lower low with this new firmware.

Interesting how this performs over the next few days.

No issue with network share between PCs/laptops/TV/smartphone.

How is your setup look like?   Draw a diagram?

SSH from desktop Windows (through Putty) to my laptop (it's dual boot system) works, but I don't use default port 22.
