Since Lenovo phone is being phased out soon and been trying to find a phone with at least 5000mAh battery with decent performance,
is Xiaomi Mi Max 2 the right choice?

Is the MIUI Global 9.2.1.0 the latest Global ROM from Xiao Mi?
